Get the benefits of infrared and probe thermometers in one unit with this Taylor 9305 dual temp infrared thermometer.

Infrared and probe thermometers are great for reading temperatures in a wide range of settings, and with this single product you can get the benefits of both thermometer types. A fold-out probe lets you take temperatures from foods that require a core temperature, but if you need to take the surface temperature on a griddle simply switch it over to infrared mode!

4" Probe

This model comes with a 4" fold out probe for taking internal temperatures, which stays secured to the side of the unit and swivels out when it's needed. The probe has a temperature range of -67 to 630 degrees Fahrenheit (-33 to 220 degrees Celsius)

Infrared Mode

If you need to take surface temperatures on equipment, this thermometer's infrared mode lets you easily switch over. The infrared thermometer has a range of -27 to 428 degrees Fahrenheit (-55 to 330 degrees Celsius).

Accuracy Readings:

For infrared readings:
-27 to 428 degrees Fahrenheit: +/- 2 degrees
-33 to 220 degrees Celsius: +/- 2 degrees

For thermocouple readings:
-67 to 630 degrees Fahrenheit: +/- 2 degrees
-55 to 330 degrees Celsius: +/- 2 degrees

Built for Easy Use

This Taylor 9305 thermometer has min/max and hold features to add further versatility, while a built-in belt clip makes it easy to carry. A CR2032 lithium battery is included.

Customer Q&A Ask a Question

Can this thermometer be used for monitoring body temperature?
No, this thermometer is not intended to be used for medical purposes and will not accurately report body temperatures.
What is the importance of an infrared thermometer's distance to target ratio?
The distance to target ratio (DTR or "distance to spot ratio") shows the diameter of the circle of the surface area being measured. For instance, a 12:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 12" away, or a 2.5:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 2 1/2" away. Keeping your distance from what you are measuring will ensure extra cleanliness in your business.
Overall Dimensions:

This is our go-to thermometer in our commissary! it does take a bit to learn how to use it (I did call the customer service line and they helped me) It was reading C instead of F on the temps. This was after replacing the battery. The battery cover is tricky to open. Hit Infrared once, then mode 4x until the C or F blinks. Then hit Infrared again to set your preference! Very accurate and both mode and infrared works great for us.
I bought this item fopr the infrared reading (surface grill and fryer) Reads the temps great, but it is a little diffiocult to operate. I ewould not purchase again.
Thank you for your review, Dave! We are sorry this Taylor 9305 Dual Temp Infrared Thermometer with Probe has not worked well for you. A Customer Solutions Representative will contact you soon!
I bake bread every other day. I wanted a dual action thermometer the probe to check the internal temp for doneness of the yeast breads and the infrared for checking the temp of the dough to maintain the best temp for the yeast to work.
The Taylor Dual Temp Infrared Thermometer with Probe is highly accurate in temperature readings and is long lasting. It is easy to use and well made.
This is a quite versatile thermometer. I use it in my food trailer for checking temperature in all temperature sensitive areas. Fryer, griddle, food warmer and foods on stove.
Got 2 of these thermometers and both batteries died within the first two days of service. Battery cover is hard to remove. Product is easy to use but probe is hard to turn out with gloves on. I won't buy these again.
Thank you for your review! A Customer Solutions Representative will be in contact shortly to see how we can help. The batteries should have a longer lifespan. If you are interested in another thermometer, try the Taylor 9306N which uses easy-to-replace AAA batteries.
This is an all purpose thermometer!! It works well for checking the surface temperatures of griddles and flattops!! Great for quickly taking cooking line temperatures throughout the day!!
Handy. Testing the griddle, taking line temps. The battery life is shorter than I had hoped and there is a bit of a learning curve. I really should read the directions first.
