The thermocouple boasts incredible accuracy of + / - 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit (+ / - 0.3 degrees Celsius), and thanks to its sensitive Bell Surface probe, it's perfect for use on flat surfaces like platens and griddles. Recommended for use with a small drop of oil or grease to aid in heat transfer, the probe works by self-orienting to the surface, guaranteeing close contact for an accurate reading. Plus, the Total System Accuracy used for the initial calibration guarentees superior accuracy with each use and allows for easy probe replacement at your facility. When replaced, the probe does not require recalibration.
