Taylor 9306N Dual Temp HACCP Digital Infrared Thermometer with Folding Thermocouple Probe

Have not used this all that much, but I have the same problem as the other reviewer. The metal probe has pulled out of the unit exposing wires that don't look very strong. This makes it difficult to use in most meat situations. I've been thinking about how to glue it somehow. Sigh.

We love this thermometer, but unfortunately out of 3 units, 2 of them broke in the same exact way. We use a lot of precise temperatures in puling different cuts of meat out of our smoker. In both cases, the probe comes unglued from the housing of the unit, exposing wires. Once the probe is loose, it won't pull out of the meats we are temping without ripping on the wires. This would be great if it held up better -- but for durability concerns, I wouldn't purchase again.

I purchased 2 of these over three months ago, when I finally decided to put it to use, the battery cover was impossible to remove and the tiny cheap tab (see photo: located at tip of pen) snapped off, now I can't even put batteries in it. Maybe Talylor should consider putting a small screw like some of their competitors to avoid this mess.

I've had better, but I've had much worse. This is a great, affordable thermometer for it's price point. Easy to use, easy to read, and accurate. Can't go wrong here.

This thermometer is amazing! It’s all digital and gives accurate readings of whatever you’re trying to read. This comes in real hand in the kitchen because all you have to do is point the laser at whatever you want and it will give you a fairly accurate reading fast.

this was a great by. as the Executive Chef I don't like to carry alot of tools, but I need to be ready to inspect allot of items and wear alot of hats. Great tool to have. simple and easy to use and the case is nice.

No matter which way you wish to use this, it is highly accurate in reading temperatures. It is very easy to use and will last a long time. I have found that it is well worth the price.

This is my go-to thermometer in the kitchen. I love that it has dual temp capabilities, reading both with a probe and infrared. I always have in on me.

I bought two of these thermometers for gifts for our daughters. They are quite the gourmet cooks and asked for this type of thermometer. I hope that it holds up under use. It will be interesting to compare this type of thermometer to the Taylor dishwasher safe digital probe thermometer.

Probe works well and Infra red spot gives a reliable and consistent temperature reading at close distances with relatively smooth surfaces and low reflectivity. Good option especially for the price.

The Taylor 9306N Dual Temp thermometer is a great product, very happy with our purchase so far. We use it on a daily basis and it produces accurate readings and is relatively fast.

This thermometer is great for getting am accurate reading of equipment temperatures. Great way to make sure everything is workinf properly. The probe part is best for a quick and precise reading of food.

The Taylor 9306N Splash-Proof dual temperature infrared thermometer with the probe is a very high quality and user friendly thermometer with very accurate temperature readings.

Good product. Accurate and relatively fast. Use on a daily basis. Probe function is awesome, but sometimes the scan doesnt seem to be too accurate or consistent.

Like this for instant read, but still like the ones that clip on the pan better. Great for things that are baked like meats and cakes.

The Taylor 9306 Infrared Thermometer with Probe is very useful. It takes the guess work out of cooking. It allows you to be accurate and safe.

This item is right on target. Use in my commercial kitchen trailer that I travel with. You feel real comfortable knowing that when the board of health shows up, you have a good reliable product.

these infrared therms are just the best to have around for fast spot checks of temps now they only tell you the surface temp so you need to use the probe as well
