Cooper-Atkins 52048-K Details
Ensure the integrity of your facility's HACCP plan by monitoring temperatures in walk-in coolers, freezers, or delivery vehicles with this Cooper-Atkins 52048-K solid simulator temperature thermocouple probe. It's important to make sure that your walk-in cold or frozen storage units are holding food safe temperatures, but just measuring air temperatures may not reflect the actual food temperatures. This special thermocouple probe features a solid tip that simulates actual food temperatures in a cold storage area. When the probe has been allowed to stabilize, a process that takes about 2 hours, it can be plugged into a thermocouple instrument (sold separately) and will instantly give you an estimate of the actual food temperatures in your cooler or freezer. This number can often differ greatly from air temperatures since this probe, like most food products, is not as sensitive to short spikes in air temperature from doors being opened.
This probe features a temperature range measuring from -40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It's temperature will display instantly after it has been allowed to stabilize and is plugged into a thermocouple instrument. It comes equipped with a 6" flexible cable with an FEP jacket. Since this thermocouple probe is made to be mounted in your cold storage unit and left there, the flexible cable makes it easy to plug the probe into an instrument to read temperatures. The probe also includes a 12" cable tie for mounting the probe to a shelving unit or other surface in your cooler or freezer.
