Other ingredients like cranberries, crushed pork rinds, and cinnamon can be added to keto waffles to give them a more flavorful taste. Keto-friendly waffles require minor preparation and are great to serve to your guests for continental breakfast.

Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of preferred sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons of frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 a cup of shredded brie cheese
Preparation:
  1. Melt brie cheese slightly to soften for mixture.
  2. Combine egg, sweetener, cranberries, and brie cheese together.
  3. Pour mixture into waffle iron and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Check every minute after the 3-minute mark to make sure it doesn’t burn.
2. Sweet Cinnamon Keto Waffles

This recipe is a little more complex, but still simple and easy to make.

Sweet Cinnamon Waffles
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of fine almond flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon of preferred sweetener
Preparation:
  1. Separate eggs with yolks in one bowl and whites in a slightly larger bowl.
  2. Combine all other ingredients together and set aside.
  3. Beat the egg whites until they begin to form peaks and become light and fluffy.
  4. Pour egg yolks into the dry mixture and stir. Then add egg whites into the bowl and stir slowly.
  5. Once the waffle iron is heated up, pour keto waffle mix onto iron, and cook for 4 minutes.
  6. Repeat with the last of the mixture to make more waffles if needed.

Savory Keto Waffles

To get a more savory-tasting waffle, you can use a basic chaffle recipe and build on it from there.

1. Plain Waffles

  • 1 egg

Preparation:
  1. Grind up the pork rinds until they are small and grain sized.
  2. Preheat waffle iron.
  3. Combine egg, cheese, and pork rinds together.
  4. Pour mixture into waffle iron and cook for 4 minutes, checking waffles after 2 minutes to avoid burning.
  5. Top with whipped cream cheese and sour cream if you would like.
3. Onion and Cheese Keto Waffles

For a much more savory keto-friendly waffle, sautee some onions, shred some cheese, and impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup of diced white onion
  • 1 tsp mustard
Preparation:
  1. Heat up a small pan and add oil. Add onion to pan and cook until translucent and brown.
  2. Preheat waffle iron.
  3. Combine egg, cheese, mustard, and onions in a small bowl.
  4. Pour mixture into waffle iron and cook for 4 minutes, checking waffles after having cooked for 2 minutes to avoid burning.
