AvaTemp Taylor thermometer thermometers caramel degrees counting check change centigrade
This thermometer never functioned properly. I bought it to replace a Taylor thermometer I have had for years. I was making caramel and used both thermometers to check accuracy of AvaTemp to Taylor. The AvaTemp registered 20 degrees low than Taylor and then started counting down like a timer. I tried it again when making next batch of caramel and random temperatures would flash on the AvaTemp. It also always is in centigrade when initially turn on which requires pin to push tiny button on back to change to Fahrenheit. I DO NOT recommend buying this thermometer! I would give it a zero rating!
