Taylor 3522FS Details

A thermometer is an essential part of any kitchen, and this Taylor 3522FS candy / deep fry thermometer is no exception! Featuring a 12" stainless steel stem and a pan clip, this thermometer can be easily attached to a large pot to keep your hands free while you monitor temperatures of liquid candy or frying oil.

This thermometer's 2" easy-to-read dial has a red pointer and black gradient markings for precise temperature readouts from 50 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit, or 10-285 degrees Celsius. It is an essential tool when using outdoor fryers or deep sauce pots during candy making.

When you are making candy, keeping the hot sugary mixture at the right temperature is essential in order for the end product to turn out properly. Plus, frying oil needs to be hot enough that food doesn't get soggy but you don't want it to get too hot, either, or food will burn. Additionally, oil temperatures for different foods are indicated on the dial for added convenience. By using a frying/candy thermometer, you can easily keep an eye on your candy or oil temperatures to make sure your food comes out just the way your customers like it!

Customer questions about this product

How do I safely and thoroughly clean my Taylor thermometer?

Your Taylor thermometer is constructed of a durable stainless steel probe, and in some cases, a plastic head. When cleaning your thermometer, do not immerse it in water or use it in the dishwasher unless the description specifically states that it is waterproof and dishwasher safe. Simply clean the stainless steel stem with hot, soapy water and wipe the head with a damp cloth.

What a nice thermometer! Perfect for large batches. I love the long handle and the sturdy clip. Very easy to read temp gauge that tells you everything you need to know. It is a little top heavy but perfect for what it is supposed to be used for.

Very long thermometer with a useful clip for attaching to the side of a pot or kettle. We are going to use it for sauces to keep track during the cooking process. It reads fast and is close to a digital without worries of replacing batteries.

Great thermometer. Lightweight and easy to read. Accurate readings always. It also has gradations in Celsius and Fahrenheit which comes in super handy. The reminder marks for different foods is also a great addition.

The thermometer is very accurate, perfect for deep frying ! The issue is that it can only really be used in a large pot, or it will be unstable and possible fall out (could be dangerous if dealing with hot oil).

I love the thermometer and it does a great job but any pan smaller than a 5 quart is going to be a problem for the clip since it's so long and top heavy, but otherwise a great product.
