Accurate Readings

This thermometer reads temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius; simply select which unit of measure you prefer with the F/C button on the back. It reads temperatures from -58 to 572 degrees Fahrenheit. Accurate to + / - 2 degrees Fahrenheit, the thermometer will show the temperature on the LCD display with an impressive 0.1 degree resolution. Even when you're on the move and multi-tasking, you can rest assured that the displayed temperature is true to the tempering or frying process.

Practical Design

To power the thermometer, just press the on/off button. After measuring the temperature, press the hold button to easily record the number, and press the hold button again to exit this mode. The 8 3/4" long stainless steel stem includes a pan clip so that mounting the thermometer is easy and reliable, keeping it in place as you work. Fifteen minutes after operation, the thermometer automatically shuts off, which helps preserve the life span of the included LR44 battery.

    This is supposed to be a candy thermometer. At that, it utterly fails. The clip does not keep the thermometer attached to the pan. It kept popping off and the thermometer would go flying. It also didn't reflect temperature changes quickly enough, and was about 5 degrees off of what my other thermometers were registering, resulting in burnt caramel. This was a complete waste of money.

    Reliable candy thermometer probe. Fairly tall so it kind of has trouble staying still in a small pot, but the clip is good enough to keep it relatively stable in a small pot so long as you don't hit the thermometer. Easy to read the temperature at a glance and can hold the temperature reading if you need. Powered by a LR44x1 battery that it comes with
