Used this to make sure my deep fryer was not over heating. Perfect reading 350. I like the clamp on the side to hold it in a pot. Great purchase. Would recommend.

Taylor 6084J12 12" Professional Candy / Deep Fry Probe Thermometer works great. We use it mainly for making candy. We keep an additional one for checking fryer temp for calibration.

I like the thermometer. It seems well made. However I do wish the sensor in it was a little further down. It’s neantbfor a deep pot but it would be better for me if I could use it for smaller batches in a smaller less deep pot.
The Taylor Candy / Deep Fry Probe Thermometer is a must for maintaining temperatures when deep frying. Very accurate and obliviously very simple to use.
I haven't had too much success with this, but it may be user error so a neutral rating from me. For the most part, I can't seem to get this into a great position on most of my pots. It also didn't last long and had unreliable readings within a few uses.

This is a good quality thermometer! Construction is solid, and thermometer works reliably. Gauge is large and easy to read. Clip is solid and secure.
We needed a candy thermometer of just this length, to stay permanently mounted on our Mark II donut robot. This thermometer is nicely made, easy to read and has served well for months with its tip submerged in grease.
This easy to read thermometer is easy to read numbers. After several years it has with held tests of deep frying. To keep in mind is of each use is to clean the face for long lasting life of the thermometer.

The Taylor 8" Candy/ Deep Fry Probe Thermometer with Pan Clip is a good quality thermometer. It didn't last too long for me, maybe 3 months, but that was using it extensively. It should be okay with light use.
Those of you who make candy know how important a candy thermometer can be. I have used this one many times and my candy came out perfect! That soft ball and hard ball stage is easily reached correctly with this thermometer.
Not completely pleased with this purchase, It seemed ok but after only a few uses it was no longer calibrated correctly and things ended up being overcooked.
This product is great for making sure the temp is right when not using a fryer. This also can work in a fryer but the clip is a great addition for many reasons.
If I could change one thing about this it be the size of the clip ours kept falling into our deep fryer to where we couldn't have it in there no more.
This is a decent cheap thermometer. If it gets banged around to much it will stop working as ours has. I will bite the bullet and go digital next time.
Nice thermometer. Nothing extras or any of that. But it is perfect for when i need to being my oil/butter mixture in between the right temperature for bar soap, and when i am watching the lye/liquid temperature for my needed temperature. Perfectly long enough for the double boiler.
i found this item to be of great value. the accuracy is right on and it's durability is awesome just do not make it a habit of dropping it.
It's nice to finally have a thermometer that the clip doesn't fall off and actually works the way it should. I have also checked this for accuracy and it has held up every time!
