These hickory wood chips have been hand-selected, graded, and fully seasoned to ensure you get the most flavorful product possible with an even, consistent burn. Hickory wood is known for it's high heat and these hickory chips live up to that reputation. Hickory wood chips are ideal for smoking ribs, pork, red meat, and poultry. The hickory flavor adds a sweet, savory, and hearty flavor to any meat. The chips light quickly and easily to make sure that you don't have to waste time struggling to get your outdoor grill lit. Once the grill is lit, these hickory chips produce a pleasing smoky aroma that is sure to stimulate the appetites of your patrons.
Gas and Electric Grills: Soak two handfuls of hickory chips in water for 2 hours. Wrap the chips in foil and puncture to allow for ventilation. Place next to the burner for optimal performance.
Remove cooking grid. Stack charcoal in pyramid and light. When charcoal is ashed over, spread two handfuls of chips evenly over hot coals. Chips will begin to smoke immediately. Replace cooking grid and start grilling.
Grilling Without Charcoal:
Remove cooking grid. Arrange chips in a pyramid shape pile. Soak with lighter fluid and wait one minute. With grill vents open and the top open or removed, light the pile and let it burn for 15 to 20 minutes until all chips are burning. Spread as desired, replace cooking grid, and close lid to smother flames. Once flames are smothered, add food and adjust temperature by opening or closing vents. If you keep the grill lid closed, the smoky flavor is increased.

The wood chips were as expected. Light hickory flavored smoke added to my grilled pork and chicken. Just soak for an hour in apple juice water or your favorite liquid and then throw on hot coals. I used them for my ribs soaked in apple cider
We love using these hickory chips for our pulled pork. They give off a good hickory smoke flavor. We don't cook our pork all the way through in the smoker so it doesn't get too much of a smoked flavor.
the bag is not the same as what is pictured on the site, but thats not whats important. the chips themselves are a good size and smoke a decent flavor. they take a while to soak for use in our smoker, but do give a pretty good hickory flavor to smoked items. the price is really great here, will buy again
A full flavor of hickory. These heat up quickly and maintain a high heat. I find if done correctly, this bag of wood chips makes tasty and tender foods.
We use these wood chips to smoke cocktails. Nice Hickory smell and they burn well. They come in a nice size to store at the bar also.

hickory wood chips are perfect for intense smoke flavor. this 179 cu in bag is an amazing deal for these chips. if you do any sort of smoking or grilling and want lots of smoky taste, these are a great buy
I bought these for two purposes: bacon and smoked salt. They worked reasonably well on the salt, darkening it to a light sandy color, but I still had to "cheat" and add a bit of liquid smoke to get any real flavor. I've been hesitant to buy the pork belly after the mediocre results with the salt.
These are unbelievably good value. They're chipped pretty small, but the smoke is very robust and a handful of them will go further than you'd think.
The Hickory wood chips are very easy to use and give great flavor, but we had a little more trouble getting them to stay lit and smoking (even following the directions). Regardless, its a great product and our steaks had a slight Hickory flavor which was enjoyable.

These hickory smoking chips smell like barbeque. They come in chip form, and I would suggest soaking them in water before usage because it prolongs the flavor.
These wood chips are perfect for our smoker, they are not flavored so they don't add any unwanted properties to foods, I recommend using these if you have any type of allergies or other issues that would prevent you from using Mesquite chips or others. Also, for using in a fireplace to add another dimension to burning regular logs, they will not cause your home to be filled up with the smells of an outdoor bbq, as flavored chips would.
The Hickory wood chips make the best flavoring when cooked with a beef brisket. I like to smoke briskets low ans slow for hours. These chips provide a great flavoring for meat at a fair price.
Wow...I was very surprised at the price for these wood chips. A similar sized bag.costs 3 times as much at local stores! Great flavor and aroma from these chips. Perfect for all your smoking needs.
