I use this 6" boning knife primarially for butchering. The curved blade is very efficient in removing large cuts of meat from the animals carcus, trimming, and cutting to size for packaging. The blade tapers down to a very thin tip that glides through meat with very little resistance. It also came from the factory with a very sharp edge.
