I am sure this is a good knife we just don't have as many uses for such a long knife. The Granton edge seems to be holding up just fine.

Excellent knife. Not only for the price, but in general. You cant go wrong with this knife as a beater knife. Also bought the boning knife and will probably buy more as gifts.

When I look to purchase a good quality knife, I tend to look at prices first. If a knife is a little on the expensive side, I would imagine that it is a good quality knife. Then, of course, I would look for brand names. I was taken off guard with this knife. A friend of mine recommended this to me and she told me that this became her favorite chef knife. After I used the knife, I asked her how much it cost and I was shocked by the price! I now know that quality doesn't always represent the price. This is now my favorite chef knife and I would highly recommend it.

This is an extraordinary knife. I was surprised at how well it is made and how sharp it is. The blade is very firm and it cuts easily. The handle fits well in your hand and it doesn't need to be sharpened often. I would purchase this again.

Fabulous knife. Well-balanced, cuts with ease. For its size it's incredibly easy to use. Glides through without having to saw or hack the slightest bit. Super-great value for the price. I am a recent convert to Mercer and see what I have been missing for so long.
