An excellent all-around, all-purpose knife combining the features of a chef's knife and that of a slicer into one. The modestly-curved blade allows some rocking of the knife back and forth for mincing, chopping, and dicing. The perpendicular, scalloped grooves minimize friction, and, thus, improve separation without shredding, making it ideal for cutting thinner slices of vegetables and meats while retaining much of their juices. The combination of a razor-sharp blade and good weight distribution makes most knife work effortless. Its only detraction is some grooves are not uniformly spaced from the cutting edge of the blade. I don't see this phenomenon shown on product pictures, but on my knife, the grooves are closer to the edge (at least on the left face) as the blade begins to taper towards the tip.
