Delight cheese connoisseurs and casual enjoyers alike with this Beemster 4-month aged premium goat cheese! With a cheesemaking process informed by over 800 years of Dutch tradition, Beemster's goat cheese is crafted from the milk of goats that graze in North Holland's lush, fertile pastures. The cheese is aged for 4 months in a traditional warehouse that's been in use for over a century, enriching it with the taste of tradition. The result is a beautiful, ivory-colored cheese that's smooth and full of flavor. Its mellow, full-bodied taste is buttery, lightly sweet, and refreshing without any of the sour "goatiness" that is characteristic of other goat cheeses. Its mild flavor is distinct without being overly powerful or pungent, making this cheese an excellent foray into the world of goat cheeses for those who have not tried them before, or a tame alternative for those who are averse to their sharp taste. This cheese's smooth, creamy texture is a perfect complement to its well-balanced flavor. Beemster's premium goat cheese is enough to turn any snack into a delightful culinary experience!

This cheese is sure to be an instant favorite on any cheese plate or charcuterie board. Its mild flavor is a perfect complement to walnuts, figs, or crisp, sweet fruits like apples and pears. To create an indulgent yet refined hors d'oeuvre, try melting this cheese atop a slice of whole wheat bread and topping with crushed cashews and sweet wildflower honey. This goat cheese pairs beautifully with crisp, chilled white wines like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon blanc, as well as pale lager beers! To infuse your menu with its delectably buttery flavor, try including this cheese in an omelet, or use it to create an especially creamy mac 'n' cheese. However you choose to serve it, this mild, rich cheese has something for every palette. This 6 lb. quarter wheel is sure to keep you in good supply!

In the early 17th century in North Holland, Lake Beemster was drained and transformed into some of the world's most lush, nutrient-rich, fertile grazing land for cattle and goats. The milk that these herds produced became renowned for its rich creaminess and sweet flavor and was used by Dutch farmers to create remarkable cheeses. Nearly 300 years later, in 1901, a group of farmers surrounding the former lake created a co-op to deliver their milk and homemade cheeses to local merchants, and Beemster Premium Dutch cheese was born. For over a century, Beemster has been committed to using artisanal, time-tested cheesemaking methods that have been handed down by generations of Dutch families. Though they are committed to innovation, Beemster's methods are rooted in tradition. They still use traditional recipes, stir the curds of their cheese by hand, hand-polish their cheese wheels, and age their cheeses on natural wooden boards in the same warehouse that the co-op started using in 1901. The milk that is used in their cheeses comes from small-scale, free-range farms that still graze their cows and goats on Lake Beemster's former lakebed - now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beemster cheese has become a favorite of the Dutch Royal Court, and it's not hard to see why: with over a dozen distinct cheeses, Beemster offers something to delight every palette. Indulge in the rich taste of tradition with every bite of Beemster cheese.
