I have this for a year now and still white! Unbelievable but true. It’s very soft but it works perfectly. For better use for delicate pastries.

Customer questions about this product
- What type of pastry brush material is best?
- The answer all depends on your intended application. Synthetic ones are highly resistant and can be used on wet or dry surfaces. Silicone ones can even withstand high temperatures while resisting stains and odors. Meanwhile, boar or natural style bristles do a good job of retaining fluids, which is helpful for preparing large quantities of product.
- Is a pastry brush different from a basting brush?
- Both brushes are the same, however you should only use your brush for either pastries or for basting and not both prep tasks. Using separate brushes for baking tasks and meat basting is important, as it ensures that flavors are not being accidentally transferred between your pastry and meat products.
- Can this brush be used to spread dry ingredients?
- This brush is only intended to spread liquid ingredients.

I prefer the nylon brushes because they are easier to clean - these are no exception. I use them for making baklava and egg washing various pastries. Would recommend.
These brushes are so easy to clean and maintain. Use them all the time in the kitchen and the bristles don’t fall off or tear which I great. Highly recommend to all.
This nylon bristle pastry brush is high quality! We have not had any issues with bristles falling out onto our product. I wiill definitely reorder!
Nice, well-constructed brush good for normal applications such as brushing cakes with syrup, brushing sauces on grilled meats, or for plating sauces and other spreads.
After searching 7 different local stores, we could only find these on Webstaurant.com. These are an integral tool in making all of our Greek phyllo pies. We find that horse hair bristles fall out, and silicone bristles just don't apply an nice even layer of butter and/or oil on phyllo dough without tearing, and so nylon bristle brushes are the first choice. The 2" bristle also has enough give that it hits the pastry softly enough and applies butter and oils evenly. The shorter ones under 2" are little too stiff and can also tear... But, this one gets a 5 star from us.
This brush is great for adding an egg wash to your bread or basting meat. Soft bristles that hold well in the brush through multiple uses and washes.
Super stiff and hard to maneuver on the food items. If you need a tough bristle this is it. Otherwise go with a softer boar bristle.
Thank you for the review! We’re sorry this is not working for what you need it for. We suggest trying this 2"W Nylon Bristle Pastry/Basting Brush instead.
I like this brush better than the hair like ones cause they tend to shed the bristols were these stay on much better than most
Not to impressed with this brush!!! not that its bad i just prefer the wood handled brushes as this felt cheap and super light. Bristles are just fine!
Love these brushes. had them for a while and they haven't shredded or the brissles melted. Great for hot and cold use. woul definitely recommend
i love this pastry brush because is easy to handle and not heavy especially when im working with delicate fine pastry, cookies, pies and empanadas
I used to have a huge silicone brush, but this little short one is so much easier to handle and store. I used it often for many tasks, usually adding a sauce to some sort of protein that's finishing like BBQ on a whole chicken. Cleans well!
good product, it doesnt release stings. which i really like. it is kind of hard to wash (even though you can put it on the dishwasher), it keeps some moisture
For the price this is a nice little brush. I use it for grilling and it works well and cleans up good also. Basic and useful all in one.
Here at Batter and Dough, we use this nylon pastry brush in order to evenly distribute oil on to our pans to make mini pancakes.
Cheap, sturdy, straightforward. Bristles aren't terribly firm but I'm okay with that. I use this in a residential kitchen for oiling items pre-roast (potatoes, broccoli) and sauce plating.
This brush does exactly what it should. The bristles seem secure and it's easy to wash by hand. The 2" is a little too big for lattice work though, but other than that it's perfect for brushing pastry.
Nice larger size pastry brush option for large loaves of bread, rolled dough, etc.. Thick plastic handle and good overall construction. Thank you for another great product!
This brush is really good for applying butter on a pan. It's also good for placing simple syrup on cakes. I haven't noticed any bristles coming off yet.
