To debone a chicken, first you must cut out the backbone. Slice the keel bone and then crack it open. You can then remove the keel bone and cut your chicken into halves. Separate the thighs and breasts, and remove the chicken legs. Take off the wing tips, and separate the wings and breasts. Then, remove the rib bones and score the chicken legs. Scrape meat from the leg bones using a knife and slice the meat to remove the bone completely. Score the thighs, scrape the meat from the bones, and remove those bones completely, too.

    Extremely sharp easy to handle. Best knives I've ever bought. I would highly recommend these to anyone who just starting out in a business, as they are one the cheaper side but amazing quality
    This boning knife with the stiff blade is perfect for dealing with larger cuts of meat. I use it when trimming my brisket and ribs before I put them on the smoker.
    I've been using this one as a basic utility knife for removing thin layers of fat, silver skin, etc. when carving up whole cuts of meat. I have a few knives I use for this, but the slightly curved blade here makes it ideal for skinning away those unwanted bits and sheets with minimal waste. The blade came fairly sharp right out of the package, but it did require a little more fine tuning before putting it to use in the kitchen. It might feel a little cheap in hand, but it gets the job done right, and that's all that matters. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if the need arose.
    Our staff would always complain about or older dull knives. We surprised our staff with these 6 inch stiff boning knives over the weekend and we had so many happy people! They cut well and look great.

    It has a good steel, came with a good edge and stays sharp fairly well. It has a nice grip for my average hand size even when wet and is well balanced. You should not dish washer knives but I am guilty of doing it on occasion with no issues yet, which is something I don't have to feel guilty about at it's price point. I've sharpened it a couple times and the steel isn't hard to put an edge on.
    This knife is well-crafted, sharp, strong with just enough flex, and well balanced. The handle sticks in your hand (a chicken wet work is where one would appreciate such) and is comfortable. Though I used it for a purpose for which it was not intended, it turned out to be the right tool for the job where a longer blade was simply not going to work.
    Last evening I was cutting a backbone out of a chicken that I had half-added defrosted. My poultry shears were not helping much largely as the inside was frozen with the giblets so there was no underneath to easily access. Nope (leverage issue). I'm not sure what made me grab this knife, but I did. It made short order of the backbone removal--and frankly, I was astonished.
    The Choice 6" Curved Stiff Boning Knife has a great grip to it, have been using it for a while with no need to sharpen. Love the white handle, combined with other Choice knives, looks great as part of a set, without the expensiveness.
    This a great cheap knife for boning. It's cheap enough for anyone in the kitchen to use, but also does the job and sharpens well.
    This is a fairly decent boning knife. It comes sharp and it is dishwasher safe. I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use but it is good for occasional use in a residential kitchen. It is great for deboning fish and chicken.
    These knives are of great quality. they hold and edge for a long time and are easily sharpened..you cannot find a better knife for the price, which is very reasonable.
    Love my boning knife ,could not live with out it,however a plastic sheating would make it easier for storage.but other wise perfect for all our fish

    I bought 2 of these knives to test out since the price was great. I have done approximately 400 chickens with these knives. They work great for cutting up chickens. I need to order more as everyone is always trying to sneak away with these two knives.

    This is the perfect utility boning knife. It is sharp and easy to handle. The grip is easy to hold even when you hand gets slippery while handling raw meat. I would order again.
    This is a decent 6 inch curved stiff boning knife. I tried it out the first time on cleaning dog did good not sure when I first came to my electric knife sharpener

    Knife is very sharp. It holds an edge very well. I have used it deboning deer, hogs, and chickens. It does the job very well.
