Completely undependable! Withing two weeks of purchase the first thermo-couple failed. Unfortunately a universal therm-couple will not fit due to the different threading used by the Chinese manufactures on the gas valve itself so had to have my technician order an entire replacement gas valve kit ($300+)....from China! It's been three weeks and the part has still not arrived. Today a second thermo-couple failed. Rather than reorder another replacement part from China and wait for potentially months to receive it, we will likely sell the unit for scrap after a total service life of less than 30 days. Extremely disappointment that Webstaurant, who we trust and have purchased from for years. would offer such a total piece of junk to unsuspecting buyers.

Product quality is Cheap. Warranty doesn't cover muc. It's WebStaurantstore product... i wouldn't buy any product from this site again!!! CS won't help with any thing

Bought a few weeks ago still trying to fund why pilot is to big changed Orphis to LP but still have problems to much gas thermostat doesn’t help flam is same size ,,. Pilot is to big too & to light it it’s to far in any lighter to light very very un happy with this griddle to many problems

Worst purchase we have ever made from webstaurantstore.com and they are being ridiculous about making it right. Purchased a few months ago and was delivered with no issues, but had to sit in storage room for few months while we finished renovating kitchen. Once we had it hooked up, we discovered it would not get over 200 degrees no matter what the dials are set to. We have spent over $36,000 with this company and had zero issues till now. They are forcing us to wait for who knows how long for warranty company to fix it when it should have simply been replaced from them as defective. Will start transitioning to another supplier from now on for as much as we can. They apparently don't care about customer loyalty.

I bought it a month or so ago, and I just fired it up...well, I tried it, but the Pilot is too big to light it’s too far in any lighter to light to keep the grill lit, very unhappy with this griddle too many problems I contacted Webstaurant, and they sent me to the warranty department. it's been almost a week, and I still have not heard anything. Now I'm stuck buying another one because there is zero help with this one. DO NOT BUY

This griddle is working good, no doubt about that. We had/still have problems to adjust die pilot flame as it is way too big. We called the hotline and they gave us a number from "whatever". We called and explained our issues and they promised to give us a call back. They never did and we still have problems with the big pilot flame. I guess you are on your own once you bought and paid for the items. The manual must be one from an older production line as it is not even close to what we received. This is NO GOOD !!!

The griddle is decent but has some shortcomings. First, the edges between the splash guards and the cooking surface are not well sealed. Fluids run between them and inside the unit making a mess to attempt to clean. The right-most thermocouple gave us problems after the first couple of months of use. Eventually, it died completely and is integrated into the control valve so field replacement isn't easy. I've called for warranty service and been told that the earliest repair possible "might" be nearly two weeks. Don't buy from CPG if their service is going to be so deaf to the needs of a restaurant. If we had the money, we'd just replace the unit with a Southbend.

We have two of these charbroilers in our kitchen. The knobs are a little confusing, especially the pilots, but we have gotten use to it. The heating elements are a little uneven.

I’ve had this item less than a week. Shipping alone took two weeks, and when we finally unpacked it, it would not ignite. The unit has never been used because it has not worked from the start. I contacted customer service and was told the only option is to submit a service ticket and wait for a technician to come out. At this point, it has been three weeks since I placed the order, I’ve paid in full, and I still do not have a working flat top for my restaurant. This is brand new equipment that arrived nonfunctional. Waiting an unknown amount of time for service is not a reasonable solution for a commercial kitchen that depends on this equipment daily. Would not recommend this product or buying any equipment from webstaurant!

I purchased this unit and arrived defective. Only two out of the three burners will light the third burner will not stay lit. I spoke with the people twice both times he assured me they would send me a replacement and now I’m getting the runaround saying I have to file a warranty claim when this thing was shipped defective very unhappy and I do not trust these people anymore after the thousands and thousands of dollars I spent with these people. Buy with caution don’t bank on any kind of support, selling someone a defective piece equipment, and then not going good on it is crooked as hell.

have this grill for two months and issues with this grill is hot cooking plate is not welded by the edges, that is why water and oil is going under the flat top grill while cooking and cleaning. And when you turn on the grill in the morning that oil and water that stays under hot cooking plate is pop out and spred on grill.

We've had this griddle for over a year now. Zero problems. This is a very good deal for top performing unit. Only thing I would change is the very large and shallow drain pain. Makes dumping a little challenging. I am recommending this grill with 5 stars

These flattops are great. Easy to clean. Just a bit hard to light up the pilot. Cheaper to buy new than used locally. And free delivery if youbare a plus member.

This is by far the best griddle! I've been in the food industry for quite sometime and let me tell you this griddle is easy to maintain and works like a racehorse. I highly recommend it!

Where to begin. First, this is an overall solid griddle. I bought this for our food trailer. That being said, the 'simple field conversion' to propane is not so true. First the instructions sent with my 48" thermostatic controlled unit only show the conversion of a manual unit, so throw them out the window. You have to take the front faceplate off to access the orifices for each of the burners to convert to LPG. Then you have to disassemble the underside plates to access the pilot tubes to change out their orifices without removing the top cooking surface to do the same job. Time spent on 'simple field conversion: 1 hour'ish(once we figured how to do it without instructions). This gas countertop griddle with thermostat controls are really cool I loved it so much I love this product and I highly recommend this product.

Installed with ease, can't give it 5 stars yet as I have not used it for cooking but when it comes to converting to liquid petroleum in the field that was easily made.

Item is as advertised on their website.. Item looks to be made well. Item fits well on top of the chef base. Grill top nicely protected.

We bought this because it was the size we needed to fit into a crowded space to fill out a full range of equipment. The 15 inch width is perfect - we have used 12 inch griddles and found they are simply too narrow to cook anything. This width is good as long as you do not ave to put too much on it at a time. Big pluses are the very heavy griddle top, and cast iron, which gives you very steady temperature, also aided by the thermostatic control. With a good griddle and precise heat you can really control cooking of a wide variety of items. Main thing to watch is that it is a little say to turn pilot light off, and because that is located deep behind the front panel it takes a long straw to relight.

When we start to use?it takes long time to find out the light?Because the lighter is in deep?and we need to have long lighter to reach in.But after it turned on?works well?

Kinda strange that the pilot turns off if it is on off instead of on pilot. Most grills do not have that issue. Other than that I like this grill

I love this griddle , stainless steel and well finished , it has a thermostat which really helpful for cooking perfectly and its a lot cheaper than lot places out there .

This product is great! I love the thermostatic controls. It so much better to set the temp vs. the high low method. One thing is the pilot is really far back so its a little hard to reach. we had to order an extra long lighter so we could reach it easily.

I must get for a taco truck this unit is amazing and affordable to get started in the business this is the way to go great product

Just for feedback for the webstayrant and the manufacturer. The manual and information on how to light the grill are not clear. The pilot is too deep inside and there are not instructional charts or picture to help first timers at all. this was a night mare for us,

Our old stove cannot keep up on our Burger special night. The thermostatic controls are awesome the temperature keeps up and everything Cooks evenly. The quality is just as good as the more expensive brands

I purchased this seven months ago. It works as advertised. All and all I'm happy with the unit. My only complaint is the pilot light. It is a challenge to light as it is located about 13" back through a small hole, not reachable with a standard grill lighter. It is very difficult to find the pilot light the first time.
