Choice 7" Stainless Steel Cleaver with White Handle

I’ve never used a cleaver before and holding this knife made me regret that instantly. The heft of the blade instills confidence while the handle is comfortable and natural. I like the poly handle for cleanup and ability to grip even when you’ve been handling fatty meats. The height of the blade gives you a lot of room to guide chopping with your knuckles and keeps your fingers far away from the edge. Again the weight of the blade assures enough momentum to handle poultry bones in one chop. With the very inexpensive price this is a no-brainer.

the product has a satisfying weight, but I also purchased a Mercer cleaver on another site for less which outperformed it significantly. The cost of ground shipping makes the idea of returning it less appealing. Nonetheless, with some sharpening and honing, it becomes functional. That said, the Mercer cleaver represents a much better value, which is a shame because I'd rather not support the other retailer.

I like this cleaver. It has the weight need to break bone and the width to pound out meat. The price make buying one even more attractive. It holds a great edge and it holds up to a lot of chopping
