DO NOT BUY AN AVANTCO OVEN! We purchased 2 of these ovens for our 2 coffee shops in November. We only bake 2 or 3 sheets of pastries per day. The first one stopped heating in Feburary. After going back and forth with Avantco they finally replaced it. Now the second one has stopped heating. After reaching out to Avantco again we are told they only have a 6 mo warranty. SIX MONTHS!!! The irony is we bought these ovens to replace quarter-sheet ovens we bought at another company that we had no problems with for 3 years. We hoped to increase our capacity and "upgrade" to commercial ovens that only lasted months. So we have gone back to using our other brand oven. Save yourself the frustration.

I searched for months to find an affordable but heavy duty half-size convection oven. The home models were too flimsy or small, and most commercial models were way out of my price range. The Advantco was exactly what I was looking for. It runs on normal household current, but is still plenty powerful. It is all stainless construction and comes with four baking racks. The oven fan is quite powerful. You really need to be careful about opening it while it’s running, because you will be blasted with hot air. I did notice, as other reviewers have commented, that it has a hot spot, and you really should rotate the food half way through the cooking process. One unusual design is where the heating element is located. I would have expected the element to be at the top and/or bottom of the oven, but it coils around the convection fan in the rear. My single biggest complaint is that it has no oven light. I have to keep a portable clip on light handy to hook onto the oven handle in order to clearly see inside while the food is cooking. I sure wish Advantco would consider putting in an oven light – it would make this countertop convection oven near-perfect. Cleaning involves taking off the for screws that old the housing around the fan and two screws on the sides that old the chrome rails that the baking racks fit into. Then you have complete access to the interior. I’ve done one thorough cleaning since I owned it, and it came out looking like it was brand new. Read Less Read More

If you need what you bake to cook evenly, this oven is not a good choice. The outside cookies on my pans will be burned, with the ones on the inside not being cooked enough. I wish I had not selected this oven.
This oven is great. We bake all of our pastries at our coffee shop: scones, loaves, muffins, cookies, brownies, all kinds of baked goods. We also use it to cook off chicken and bacon for our salads. The items are best rotated, like most convection ovens, to prevent browner spots or lopsided muffins from the fan blowing, but with a turn or two mid bake the items come out lovely! I don’t always use a timer, but with the recipes I’ve used with times on them it is fairly accurate for completion on a cook/bake.
This is a high quality convection oven. It works really well. I am very happy with this purchase. The timer is very helpful addition to this oven.
Amazing little ovens that keep warm even with constant opening and closing. Size is perfect for our little kitchen, fits on top of counter or on shelves. Easy to use and fits more food inside than you would think.
Works great so far, I use this to cook baked Mac n cheese throughout the day. Cooks evenly and the timer is great when you are busy..no problems so far. Best part it’s 120 volt..
My first unit didn't work more than a couple of days but customer service helped get an exchange shipped out quickly and easily. The replacement has worked great so far (knock on wood!)
I have had two of these ovens, each worked great, for a short time... The first lasted aprox. 6 months, and the fan stopped working. They replaced it with a second one, and the same thing happened. We were told it is not meant for our capacity. The product description states " Its compact design makes it great for coffee shops, kiosks, snack bars, and restaurants." That's us! Looking for other options.

We bought this oven really skeptical because all the bad reviews , so far is been working good, easy to use, and the size is perfect
Avantco CO-16 Half Size Countertop Convection Oven, 1.5 Cu. Ft. - 120V, 1600W is a solid and affordable oven that we are able to use in different places.
This oven fits all my needs at the coffee shop. It sits on the counter and heats quickly and quietly. I really like the timer because time flys and it keeps me on track. I warm a Rosemary Potato rustic roll and the smell, sells.
I just received this oven and fired it up for a test bake using some croissants. While it is a small oven and you do have to rotate the pans, you also need to do that in any other convection oven unless you get a rotational rack oven. This oven is solid, clean, runs quiet, and heats up/maintains its heat very quickly. Not sure what the negative reviews are for, but this seems like a great oven so far.
This countertop model has been excellent for our needs. Heats very quickly and holds a consistent temp. Perfect size for remaining out on a countertop without being obtrusive
This oven is the perfect size! Im able to transport it, and still fit 8 quarter size trays in at a time. Only wish it had an interior light
I have bought 2 in the last year both quit working after 6 months, one fan stopped working other heating element. Complete crap don't waste your money.

This is a good purchase with a good price and quality together, Fast shipping service, Good description and photos. Very happy with the purchase, we will be returning for more. thanks
I was excited to receive this oven. I placed it on a counter top that has no walls, enabling the oven to breath. I dedicated it's own outlet and unplug it when not in use as suggested. Nonetheless, I hate this oven. First, the seal between the oven and the door arrived disconnected, and I can't get it to stay in. Second, every time I cook in this oven, I never know what i'm going to get. For example, I heat the oven 25 degrees lower than conventional oven suggestions, I wait until the light indicates that the oven is ready, I set the timer, I put in two trays of sugar cookies, spun the trays halfway through the cooking cycle (because my food closest to the fan browns super fast), and I was like this might work. However, the next day, I repeated my actions, and I got very different cookies with browned edges and doughy centers. I've experimented with one pan in the center as well as up to four pans of cookies. Nothing is consistent. My edges are very brown and my centers are undone. I guess that would be consistent but not delicious. It is all very frustrating. I have also tried cooking cinnamon rolls. Even with a small pan of water in the oven bottom, my dough is more dry, my edges very brown and my centers undone. I am within my 30 days and would gladly return the oven, but I would have to pay shipping and have thirty percent of my purchase price removed from my return. Besides that, they won't accept an item that has been used. Poor service and quality all around. It is very disheartening. On a positive note, I have eliminated one of a few ovens. Anyone know if this thing can be recycled because I don't have the heart to sell it knowing how it performs? Read Less Read More

really, really happy with this purchase. The oven is compact, heats quickly, is easy to get working out of the box, and does the job.
This unit works as well as can be expected for a countertop oven. It's 'convection' qualities leave much to be desired. The edges are definitely hot spots and baked goods baked off in here are mediocre when compared to baked goods baked off site in our large convection oven. We use this unit in our very small restaurant for toasting of bread, finishing off of par-cooked bacon to get it to crisp, and daily baking of scones and cookies on site. It's interior size is its best feature. I personally like that it does not have an automatic timer to turn off. I would purchase this unit again if ever necessary.
