I just came off the water with Captain Scott Daugherty from Freedom Fighter. We've got some red snapper, some yellow tail, and we're going to show you how to fillet these up. Pretty soon they'll be on the grill and we will be living large! The knife glides right through the fish with little pressure and gives you a great cut. Not only is it safer than using a duller knife, it is smooth and easier to manage. Dexter knives are tough and corrosion resistant. Crafted from proprietary Dexter steel, they are made to be sharp right out of the box with long-lasting and easily-restored edges. To sharpen the knives, begin at the top of the sharpener with the butt of the knife and glide your wrist in a downward motion until you reach the tip. After, flip it to the back side and repeat the motion from butt to tip. After a few rotations, your Dexter edge should be perfect. Dexter knives are strong where it matters, and are flexible to ensure that you always have control. With Dexter knives, you can cut and chunk fish.     This Dexter- Russell knife is well made and an excellent quality knife. It is my go to knife for filleting because the blade is very sharp and firm. It doesn't require a lot of sharpening and the handle is very comfortable on your hand.
