I just came off the water with Captain Scott Daugherty from Freedom Fighter. We've got some red snapper, some yellow tail, and we're going to show you how to fillet these up. Pretty soon they'll be on the grill and we will be living large! The knife glides right through the fish with little pressure and gives you a great cut. Not only is it safer than using a duller knife, it is smooth and easier to manage. Dexter knives are tough and corrosion resistant. To sharpen the knives, begin at the top of the sharpener with the butt of the knife and glide your wrist in a downward motion until you reach the tip.     I used to fish in Texas and would clean my fish at a fish cleaning station located inside the park.     Great for salmon! I buy salmon in bulk and I usually fillet the salmon in portion sized pieces, this knife cuts through that thick fish like buttah! Its nice and lightweight as well but I would've like a better quality handle.

    This knife is quite sharp, as it is supposed to be. It cuts through regular raw meats like going through butter! Fileing a fish was smooth, it cut through the bones very easily. I did buy a sharpener for it, since it will need sharpening at some point, but not any time soon.
    I ordered this knife because my business is on the Oregon Coast. (Salmon Country). I ordered three to see if there might be an interest. All were sold before being displayed. The fisherman in my area found out they were coming and purchased them sight unseen. When they received them they were 110% pleased. .
