While you can also build your pie on this, that is better done on a wood peel, where sticking is less of problem and you can get away with less semolina or flour. This is for removing the pie from the oven, and it does a good job.

Lightweight, with a generous deck and sturdy handle. I love how the deck is sandwiched between two layers of metal to make the handle, making for a sturdy, secure connection. Some of the protective blue plastic film on the face of the deck was caught under the handle connection point, which was slightly annoying, but not really a problem. MUCH lighter than the Fat Daddio's pizza peel, and larger, too.
