timer kitchen timers great easy hear different batteries busy works

I have read all the reviews on this timer and they ALL are correct. It IS a good timer until it starts to flake out. We lost sensitivity on the #1 button first, then one day it just started beeping (had to take the batteries out). Put new batteries in and it worked again for about another month. Just yesterday it was timing and froze! (we lost a batch of fries!) Put new batteries in again thinking it would help, it timed 1 item and now nothing works! It is a great little 4 event timer, and I guess you get what you pay for. It's still a whole lot cheaper than spending a ton on a real one! So I guess spending a little bit every other year on a timer will just have to work for us :) (I will buy a backup one now, because when you loose your timer in a busy restaurant.....well.....you know what happens)

I purchased this timer on March 3, 2016. The + button for the minutes has already stopped working, which makes it useless for me. What a waste of money. I will not be ordering this timer again!

We bought two of these timers and we're so happy with them very loud and accurate. Until I'm one the stop button stopped working and on the other the minute Plus button stopped working I don't think I will buy the same one I think I'm going to buy the Step Up

Taylor makes great timers. I use these everyday and it works perfect. Very easy to set the time and it remembers the time so that way you can keep cooking.

This timer is LOUD! And that is a good thing. We had issues with quiet timers not getting enough attention in a busy kitchen. Problem solved.

Ordered 14 of these for locations. Love the fact that you can time four products at one time. Greatly increases the quality of the products we are serving.

I bought the 1st one months ago and quickly bought 2 more. This is the only timer that has survived our kitchen and can be heard from anywhere so food doesn't overcook. Love, love this timer. Don't waste your $ on cheaper ones.

Great timer! We use this for our kitchen and it has the perfect high pitch for the entire kitchen to hear when it rings. It was great during our rush!

This is a good and very durable timer. It has the options we need. It would have been very nice though if you could store the times in it permanently instead of having only the last used time.

The Taylor 5839N four event timer works great in our busy kitchen. If you are looking for ways to make your product consistent and prevent burnt food, this is a handy item to have.

During the past year we've tested a few timers and always ran into an issue with the timer not being loud enough. I read the reviews for the Taylor 5839 and decided to give it a try. Best money I have spent for a timer. This thing is LOUD. Each of the 4 programmable settings have a different sound and flashing color to identify which has reached the set time. It's well built and has a large visual screen.

Great timer. We use it in our bakery. It is very lough and annoying when it goes off, but in a large noisy bakery, that's a good thing. You can hear it from anywhere in the bakery. We can time more than on thing at a time. We are happy and would order it again

    from Breadsmith Posted on

This timer comes in such handy. So simple to use, instead of all the cooks checking the pasta every one minute to see if its done, just set a solid cooking time and set the timer!

We have had a couple different timers that other companies have supplied through the years. This has been a great little timer and we will order agian!

In our loud shared kitchen space we were missing the other timers we had used. This is bight, loud, and will be heard over anything else going on in the kitchen. Just the timer needed.

from Degrees of Cooking LLC Posted on

Perfect for timing foods in the fry station. It works like a charm, beeps loud when food cycle is completed and is easy to clean and maintain.

When you first use this product you think that your fire alarm is going of and telling you to leave the building, but i promise you will never burn anything up.

Great timer for the kitchen. Easy to use and set up. Allows me to set three different times and the alarm is loud enough for everyone to hear.

    from Viva Chicken Posted on

These are a workhouse in my kitchen. We use them every day, all day. They are loud, easy to use (a double click on the time will bring up the last time, very useful!) and pretty sturdy. The issues I have had after 13 years of using these: 1) They can crap out without notice. 2) I had a pair in which one would not turn off, and the other would not turn on. 3) The touch controls can become much less sensitive as they are used. It does take a while, but still. They are garbage after that. Other good things are that they can lay flat, so you can use them one handed. Perfect when one hand is covered in fried chicken batter. Overall recommend.

I ended up purchasing this model as a recommendation from Webstaurant Store when I initially chose a more expensive timer. This timer has served my kitchen well for keeping track of items on multiple tickets. Easy to use and loud enough to cut through a busy kitchen. Great product and price.
