An integrated gas control valve acts as a manual and pilot valve and prevents gas from flowing to the main burner until the pilot is established. It shuts off the gas automatically in case the pilot flame goes out. Plus, as an added safety feature, the temperature limit switch automatically turns off the gas if the fryer exceeds the upper temperature limit. This fryer also features a built-in integrated flue deflector to direct flue gas to the exhaust hood more effectively.

We purchased this fryer because it fits perfectly in the small space we had available. It's quite impressive with features included are adjustable legs,magnetic latching access door, included threaded removalable oil drain spout makes for easy maintence and clean up . I would have to say it heats up rapidly and produces tator tot orders on demand. We made the purchase of the side guards it keeps your other equipment much cleaner and it makes the unit look even more commercial/professional than it already is.. Love, Love, Love this little floor fryer. I upgraded from a cheap "other brand" fryer that had no temperature control and boy what a difference it has made. I Love that I can fire this up, set the temperature and go all day. I choice the Pitco brand for their reputation and because it's Made In the USA. Installation was a breeze. This unit is easy to setup and clean out. Everything we cook comes out great. The baskets are big and sturdy and easy to turn out food on completion. Price was excellent.

Warning... You will got NO warrantee help out of Webstraunt. They would not even contact Pitco. I had to do it all myself. Basically Webstraunt takes your money, and they are done. For an item such as this one should probably purchase from a local supplier.
