Bought this to replace 1800w popular style home grinder WOW what a difference! First, this thing is heavy, all stainless steel not aluminum and plastic. Second, when you turn it on it's sooo quiet! Our home model was so noisy you needed ear protection. Third, this unit really performed, it went through 40 lbs of meat in half the time of our home style grinder, didn't bog down at all, didn't have to push hard to get the meat in to the auger it almost pulled it in itself. And finally, repair parts are available and reasonably priced. I have sent my home style unit back to the manufacturer twice this year for warranty repairs, the shipping cost for repair is more than parts would have cost, which - they don't have any parts available. This grinder is a BEAST !! Very satisfied. Thank you
