Intuitive Diagnostics

For ease of maintenance, a built-in diagnostic system will identify problems that your ice machine may be having and will display the issue on the digital controller so it can be repaired accordingly. This easy-to-use controller can also be used to monitor the current stage of ice production that your machine is in. We bought this machine 2 years ago and it has stopped working; Error 03. After harvest, it drops the ice from the evaporator and stays on harvest mode. In order to get some ice from it, we have to turn it off after every harvest and back on again until we can figure our what to do with this machine. Poor workmanship.

This ice maker is producing half the amount advertised. WTH is going on? Also,the storage bin handles less than 300 lbs and not the advertised 526 lbs. This is outrageous and outright false advertising. Can someone get back to me?

So, I have now owned this machine for about three years and have never had a problem. It is a bit more of an effort to clean it than my old undercounter unit was, but given that more of the parts are easy to get to, I think I give it a better cleaning than I could my old one. The one issue is that I wanted to get it professionally cleaned and was quoted a price approaching $500 because the person had never worked on one of these machines before. I found another tech who handled it for a reasonable price. As for longevity, my undercounter scotsman failed after five years and a scotsman version of this one would have cost more than twice the price.
