Fast, Flameless Heat

10 1/4" Cook Surface

This light-duty induction cooker is compatible with induction-ready pans that have a bottom diameter between 4 3/4" and 10 1/4". The cooker enters "standby" mode when the pan is removed from the surface.

Built-In Timer

The induction range features a 180-minute timer, which allows you to set the cook time and do other tasks while you wait!

Durable Plastic Body

A durable plastic housing gives this unit exceptional durability in a very light form, while also making it easy to clean.

Multiple Cooking Modes

The ICBTM20 boasts 1800W of cooking power, and you can cook using either a wattage-based "power level" mode. There are 10 different power levels between 140 and 460 degrees Fahrenheit. Simply place an induction-ready pan or pot on the cooking surface, turn it on, and choose your power level! The keypad can be locked to prevent settings from being changed.

Customer Q&A Ask a Question

Can this induction range handle any pan capacity?
Most induction ranges do not have specified weight or pan capacities. The key to ensuring your range works properly and does not get damaged by too much weight is to use a pan with a bottom diameter that does not exceed the burner's diameter. Using a larger pan or pot, such as a stock pot, will lessen the effectiveness of the range and the quality of your food.
What's the best way to use my Avantco countertop / drop-in induction range?
These induction ranges are designed for display cooking and other light-duty applications. They are not intended for use with large, heavy stock pots filled with water.
My induction range blinks even when it's turned off. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. This unit blinks to indicate a standby mode, signaling it is plugged in and ready for operation.

Countertop induction ranges are great for preparing foods at catered events or banquets and have become extremely popular the last decade due to their safety and energy efficiency. Avantco offers three different sizes and types of inductions ranges for your foodservice needs based on light, medium, and heavy duty usage. Induction cooking uses induction heating to directly heat a cooking vessel, as opposed to using heat transfer from electrical coils or burning gas as with a traditional cooking stove. This reduces the chance of injury burns and increases energy efficiency in the unit. Here are some more advantages to using induction cooking. Energy transfer only while cookware is put on the cooking plate equals maximum energy savings. Heat is generated in the bottom of the cookware and immediately directed into the food. This guarantees extremely high cooking speed. High effectiveness during parboiling and minimum power consumption during cooking reduces total energy consumption up to 30%. Precise controlling guarantees quick and focused heat input. As the induction cooking plate is only heated up by the heated cookware, the risk of scorching or burning of food residues is reduced. The induction cooking plate does not stay hot as long as standard cooking surfaces. When the cookware is removed, the device switches automatically into the Standby Mode. The device detects whether suitable cookware is placed on the cooking plate. If not, no energy is transmitted. When operating the induction cooking plate with empty cookware, a temperature sensor turns off the heating function in case of overheating. We love this 120v induction range cooker. Works exactly as intended and would highly recommend. The only issues making sure we have the correct induction pans.

from Kinos Coffee on

There are many mixed reviews on this product. Common sense tells you not to use a pan larger than range, or it will not heat properly. I have only had it a few months, but it really meets my needs in my small commercial space. I am impressed with how quickly it gets up to temp. You barely have to touch the buttons to adjust it, so the lock feature makes it nice in case you brush the panel. For the price--really, you can't beat it.

from Nanna's Sweets on

I read the reviews and thought that they just did not have a big enough pot and that is why their unit did not work. Well I was wrong, the manufacture's spec.'s state 5.5" to 10.25" pot will work, that is not the case. I have a 7" pot and my range will not work which is depressing! w2hen I use a 10" plus pot this range rocks. I am going to see if I can return it because I want to be able to use a smaller sauce pan within in the spec's I bought it for! They get an F for range of use.

We keep kosher and have limited space for the "milk" side of our kitchen. This induction burner is great b/c it's well-built, stores out of the way and heats up quickly so we can feed our kids in a hurry. It's also great b/c only the part that contacts the pan gets hot. I'd recommend this over a "residential" brand for home use given the modest increase in price.

I've been using diverse traditional electric and gas range tops. The Avantcto ICBTM-20, 1.8 KW, 120 V, reaches the 460º F very fast. I also have the bigger Avantco 3.5 KW, 220 V, and both models perform similarly in applications with skillets. Truly a good small induction range, the Avantco 1.8 W, we're reviewing with 5 stars. Many other good brands offer de 1 KW for a more expensive price. The smaller the cast iron skillet you are using, like the Tablecrat CW30152 24 oz mini casserole (8" diameters) with handles, the faster you can cook. When turning on, in a minute i'm frying eggs. I switch between 180ºF and 220ºF to do the perfect eggs.

on

Simple, clean design but fires up nearly instant. Works just as well as similar model I paid 5x for. Nearly set-it and forget-it consistent performance virtually eliminates needs for double boiler configurations.

on

I use this induction range everyday for soups and chili and as a warmer when needed , works flawlessly. Small foot print with a lot of power and very reasonably priced.

from Patz Deli on

This induction range is easy to use and efficient. It brings water to a boil quickly and maintains accurate temps over extended cook times. The only negative I've found is that the power button is extremely sensitive. One slight touch and the unit turns off. Thankfully, the beep notification sound is loud enough that you can easily reset it.

from Bucket Bites LLC on

We are extremely dissatisfied with this product.  Honestly, we hate it.  The main problem is that it only works with our stainless steel pots.  We tried at least five different sets of "induction-ready" fry pans, and none of them worked.  Well, one pan *sometimes* worked, so we suffered through a routine of holding it firmly down and moving it to a corner until it magnetically connected (and if you ever lifted the pan, you'd need to repeat the routine).  Meanwhile, we hate the loud obnoxious beeping, the bright light, and have health concerns around EMF that I didn't consider when I purchased the thing.

The great induction range, 1800W is so powerful. You can boil a water in seconds. I also bought an induction-compatible pot and pan from WebstaurantStore, so there is never a guessing game.

from Thai Twist Deli on

This induction range counter top saved us when our equipment went out. We were also able to use as it portable and easy to move. We use it to make omelettes at our omelette station for our Sunday brunch.

on

As long as the range is durable, it's a good buy. No issues at a one month mark. Heats quickly. We use the controls that shows power wattage. Interestingly it jumps from 500 to 800, then 1000 and up. We're still playing with the controls, but I like this product.

from Little Lots Farms on

Fantastic little induction range. You can spend a lot more money on induction burners if you want, but this one does all that you need it to!

from AIX on

Initially I didn’t know this equipment was not NSF approved so I had to buy another unit. When the law finally change to allow us to use it as long as it is UL certified I did started using it. If I never had my second burner, I would rate this one highly but since my second burner heats up faster and hotter I can’t say this is my favorite. The one thing I do like about this one is that it is lighter in weight and is cost effective. It definitely would get the job done.

I have not used the item yet but I love the size of the item and the 1800w feature. I like counter top induction cookers because they are portable.

on

This product has been such a blessing in disguise. We also use one at home and at work and it it suprisingly easy to use.

from Reds Oakridge Party Store on

This guy heats things, which is what we wanted it for. Seems to work just as well as its more expensive brethren. Good deal for the money.

from Little Lion Ice Cream on

This is a awesome induction cooker. Super slim design so it stores away really easy. The surface could not get any easier to clean. Recommended!

on

Loving this induction cooker, powerful enough for our needs, surface is easy to clean. Been using it for 5 months and doing great so far.
