Fast, Flameless Heat

This countertop range uses induction technology to generate heat with no open flame. This means less ambient heat in your kitchen, fast heat-up times, and most importantly no open flame or flammable fuels that could be a potential safety hazard.

10 1/4" Cook Surfaces

This induction cooker is compatible with induction-ready pans that have a bottom diameter between 4 3/4" and 10 1/4". The cooker enters "standby" mode when the pan is removed from the surface and will make an audible alert when a non-induction pan is used.

Built-In Timers

Each hob on the induction range features its own 180-minute timer, which allows you to set the cook time for multiple items and do other tasks while you wait!

Durable Plastic Body

A durable plastic housing gives this unit exceptional durability in a very light form, while also making it easy to clean.

Multiple Cooking Modes

The IC18DB boasts a total of 1800W of cooking power, with the left hob operating at 1000W and the right hob operating at 800W. Each cooking surface is controlled independently, and you can cook using either a wattage-based "power level" mode, or adjust the temperature directly from 140 - 460 degrees Fahrenheit. The keypad can be locked to prevent settings from being changed.

Customer Q&A Ask a Question

Can this induction range handle any pan capacity?
Most induction ranges do not have specified weight or pan capacities. The key to ensuring your range works properly and does not get damaged by too much weight is to use a pan with a bottom diameter that does not exceed the burner's diameter. Using a larger pan or pot, such as a stock pot, will lessen the effectiveness of the range and the quality of your food.
What's the best way to use my Avantco countertop / drop-in induction range?
These induction ranges are designed for display cooking and other light-duty applications. They are not intended for use with large, heavy stock pots filled with water.
My induction range blinks even when it's turned off. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. This unit blinks to indicate a standby mode, signaling it is plugged in and ready for operation.

The Advantages of Induction Cooking

Available in three different sizes and types, countertop induction ranges can reduce energy consumption by 30%, and allow you to prepare food safely and quickly. Watch this video to learn about the many other advantages of induction cooking!

Countertop induction ranges are great for preparing foods at catered events or banquets and have become extremely popular the last decade due to their safety and energy efficiency. Avantco offers three different sizes and types of inductions ranges for your foodservice needs based on light, medium, and heavy duty usage. Induction cooking uses induction heating to directly heat a cooking vessel, as opposed to using heat transfer from electrical coils or burning gas as with a traditional cooking stove. This reduces the chance of injury burns and increases energy efficiency in the unit. Here are some more advantages to using induction cooking. Energy transfer only while cookware is put on the cooking plate equals maximum energy savings. Heat is generated in the bottom of the cookware and immediately directed into the food. This guarantees extremely high cooking speed. High effectiveness during parboiling and minimum power consumption during cooking reduces total energy consumption up to 30%. Precise controlling guarantees quick and focused heat input. As the induction cooking plate is only heated up by the heated cookware, the risk of scorching or burning of food residues is reduced. The induction cooking plate does not stay hot as long as standard cooking surfaces. When the cookware is removed, the device switches automatically into the Standby Mode. The device detects whether suitable cookware is placed on the cooking plate. If not, no energy is transmitted. When operating the induction cooking plate with empty cookware, a temperature sensor turns off the heating function in case of overheating. The only drawback is that parts of the non induction area will melt if the pan touches it. Other than that I am able to sear fritters on the 1000 watt range and fry eggs on the other range. Excellent product.

Once we figured out how to use this... It works wonderful. It is a perfect size for small spaces. I like that it has dual controls so each side can have a different setting. I would highly recommend and would even purchase again if needed.

You can’t go wrong with Avantco, it’s a top prouduct and company stands behind their product we ordered the Avantco IC18DB Double Countertop Induction Range / Cooker - 120V, 1800W

Wasn't sure about a induction cooktop but going to try it. I do not regret it. When you remove your pot or spilt from the eye it will automatically go off. Which is great when you are busy..
We use this as our backup to our single Avantco induction, 177ICBTM20. The 2 are definitely not the same. This uses a single plug for combined 1800 watts. Left burner has a max setting of 1000W and right burner has a max setting of 800W. When we cook to orders at the same time, one order on the single 177ICBTM20 at 1000W, and the other on this double induction also at 1000w, 177IC18DB, the single burner finishes 3x as fast so one of them is not truly 1000W. Will look to replace this one with something of better quality in the futre.

Does not work with any pot or pan under 8 inches even thou it claims 4 inch or bigger pretty disappointed to say the least.

I truly love the convenience this countertop induction range brings us. This is a very great and safe product to cook on. You want to make sure you have the right cookware though otherwise it will not work. You can do this by testing it with a magnet. I like how fast it cooks and how large the cooking eye is. Really awesome item we have added when catering.
This countertop is a headache, does not recognize the pans, pots that I have, neither if the dimension is not correct it doesn't work, do not waste money here..

this Advantco double induction burner is amazing works with cast iron pans perfectly, easy to use and I like the lock feature so you don’t accidentally turn it on
A great, light weight but sturdy range. This proved perfect for our catering business and is perfect for on the go heating/cooking of multiple items!
So far so good. We bought two of these units specifically for boiling hot water kettles 4-5 liters on each burner. It takes 15-20 to get to boil
A lot of power for a low price. Compact footprint and simple design boils water better than the more expensive unit it replaced. Durable construction and easy to clean!
This double countertop induction range is exactly what we needed in our kitchen. Its durable service heats up quickly and evenly and is easy to clean when the day is done.
What can I say? We use this everyday and it did a great job. It takes longer to cook then traditional cooker but it's okay.
I have a few of these because I love the dual option so much. We use them for catering and I have one at home for hot pot!
I would not recommend buying this unit...The unit i bought did not last and Customer Service is horrible! Used it on my omelet station 2 times successfully. On the 3rd time during service the left side stopped working giving me the an E00 code which means no cookware on plate or non-usable cookware. . The price was great, the unit looks nice and most of the review looked positive so i bought it. When i reached out to customer service, which was on a Friday, i was told someone would get back in touch with me by Monday. Nobody called or emailed me. Very disappointing!!
Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry your Avantco IC18DB Double Countertop Induction Range / Cooker - 120V, 1800W was defective. Corrective action has been taken and a Customer Solutions Representative will remain in contact with you about this.
This is a great option for a low price entry to induction, or if you are using it to heat things up only. Doesn't quite have the power that a single burner has but for the price and design it works well.
This product was used in a café and only used periodically. The product did not last more than four months and already has stopped working. The hassle of replacing the item and being unable to use a range is annoying. I've used the single burner counter top ranges and I would recommend it if you are looking for a cheaper alternative or spend more money and get a better product.
Thank you for the feedback! We're sorry this cooker has stopped working for you. A Customer Solutions Representative will contact you shortly.
this is a decent product. It heats well and looks pretty slick. The one downside for us was we tried to is a pot that was a bit larger than the cook top and it melted some of the red plastic. completely our fault, but i may have purchased a different using if i knew this .
Awesome product. Great for saving space and fits in our kitchen perfectly. This product does its job helping to cook and heat anything that we need.

The Avantco induction range is functional, but could use improvement of some details that you don't notice until use. The glass tops are recessed just below the plastic around them. This causes them to catch radiant heat from the pan and start to melt during use. Controls are less than intuitive, with the default setting being in watts. I don't speak in watts. I do have a solid grasp on graduated (1-10) scales and temperature, which would be the ideal method of control. Overall the construction feels pretty cheap and the unit is very noisy. Definitely not a top of the line induction range but at least it does make pans hot and cook food.
