Can this induction range handle any pan capacity?
Most induction ranges do not have specified weight or pan capacities. The key to ensuring your range works properly and does not get damaged by too much weight is to use a pan with a bottom diameter that does not exceed the burner's diameter. Using a larger pan or pot, such as a stock pot, will lessen the effectiveness of the range and the quality of your food.
What's the best way to use my Avantco countertop / drop-in induction range?
These induction ranges are designed for display cooking and other light-duty applications. They are not intended for use with large, heavy stock pots filled with water.
My induction range blinks even when it's turned off. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. This unit blinks to indicate a standby mode, signaling it is plugged in and ready for operation.
How is this unit installed?

Avantco offers three different sizes and types of inductions ranges for your foodservice needs based on light, medium, and heavy duty usage. Induction cooking uses induction heating to directly heat a cooking vessel, as opposed to using heat transfer from electrical coils or burning gas as with a traditional cooking stove. This reduces the chance of injury burns and increases energy efficiency in the unit. Here are some more advantages to using induction cooking. Energy transfer only while cookware is put on the cooking plate equals maximum energy savings. Heat is generated in the bottom of the cookware and immediately directed into the food. This guarantees extremely high cooking speed. High effectiveness during parboiling and minimum power consumption during cooking reduces total energy consumption up to 30%. Precise controlling guarantees quick and focused heat input. As the induction cooking plate is only heated up by the heated cookware, the risk of scorching or burning of food residues is reduced. The induction cooking plate does not stay hot as long as standard cooking surfaces. When the cookware is removed, the device switches automatically into the Standby Mode. The device detects whether suitable cookware is placed on the cooking plate. If not, no energy is transmitted.
