Offset spatula, perfect for frosting cakes as well as for spreading things like mayo on bread. Nice wooden handle and a decent blade as well.

I like this small spatula because you can control it better and you can get into small crevices in big cakes or this is good for icing small cakes

Quick shipping and as always a great product. The thin flexible blade works great to lift small fruit tarts out of a mini muffin pan.

I thought this would be too small for frosting cakes but it's perfect! This makes it so much easier to frost cakes and cupcakes smoothly. It's a great presentation tool! Highly recommended!

This is an excellent tool! It's primary designed for spreading icing, but I've found much more uses for it than that. Since it's arrival, I've found myself using it almost every day for some sort of peeling or spreading. The blade and the handle are sturdier than expected and I feel more confident in the durability of the nicely riveted handle compared to the cheaper plastic versions that I often find on low cost kitchen tools.

I used Ateco 1383 Small Size Tapered Offset Baker's Spatula with 5" Blade (August Thomsen) to smooth out the edge of my cake

As with all Ateco products, I have yet to be disappointed. Great quality, great value. You can not go wrong with this knife for frosting.

This is the perfect cute little spatula. Very easy to use and very easy to clean up. Very sturdy. Perfect for little cakes or cupcakes or for frosting the sides of cakes. Definitely recommend.

Ateco products are the best and this Ateco 1383 delivers. Ateco offers the same tapered/pointed spatula with a plastic handle, the Ateco 1317, as they do with most all their other spatulas but I prefer the wood handles. The wood handle Ateco spatulas are cheaper, which is always great...and lighter, which makes them easier to handle especially for long periods. The only downside obviously is the wood may not be as durable as plastic but which a little care...some mineral oil or specialty wood cutting board oil, the wood handle becomes plenty durable, water proof, etc. The wood handles are look nice and the stainless steel has a 'mirror' finish to it. The plastic handle Ateco spatulas have a 'brushed' finish on the stainless steel. Finally the metal spatula itself seems to be made in japan as it has "Stainless Steel japan" stamped on it. I just wish Webstaurant carried Ateco's entire line.

I had previously purchased the 4 inch and liked it so much that I bought this 5 inch one. They work as any other spatula would but the angle helps. I mostly use these to easily go up under things such as baked cookies.

The tapered blade allows one to remove objects from pots or pans that just seem to not want to budge. It also good for decorating in the tight corners of cakes.

We didn't realize how tapered these spatulas were going to be, as they poke through things we try to lift up out of muffin tins. However, they have proven themselves as excellent swirling tools for our cheesecakes.

I love using this for some of the more intricate buttercream work that I do on cakes. Being offset helps get close to the cake without destroying the buttercream.
