Is this Vacmaster vacuum bag / pouch boilable?
Yes, Vacmaster bags and pouches can be boiled. All styles will withstand boiling temperatures for up to 20 minutes; for maximum performance, check out their ”Re-Therm” line of bags, which can be boiled for 30 minutes.
How do I determine if a vacuum machine bag will work on my machine?

If you have a chamber-type machine: Buy a chamber-type bag (mesh-less design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine, and the bag must also fit inside your machine’s chamber.

If you have an external-type machine: You must buy an external-type, or "out of chamber" bag (mesh design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine.

What foods cannot be vacuum sealed?
Foods containing anaerobic bacteria cannot be vacuum sealed: mushrooms, garlic, seafood, and soft cheeses, such as brie, camembert, ricotta, and other soft and unpasteurized cheeses.

    These bags are pre-formed, which saves time in making the bags for the sealer. The quality is excellent for the price. They came in handy when butchering my own deer this past season, no time wasted on making bags, and are large enough for good family sized roasts.
    ARY Vacmaster 10X15 3mil bags are the largest bags I’ve used in my VP215 chamber vacuum sealer. This is best overall bag size I recommend for fish.
    A great large-size pouch to have on hand. Even though the Vacmaster VP215 lists its maximum capacity as 10x13, these will fit once they have been filled (they get a little shorter as they get taller/filled). Holds a seal well. Good price, and sturdy. If I were going to buy a case of either these or the 4-mil, I would buy these. For the occasional times when I might need to worry about puncturing a pouch, I would double bag (rather than stocking up on thicker, more-expensive bags that I would rarely need).
    High quality strong bags that work great for freezing, storage, marinating etc. I find this to be an ideal size when doing sous vide for 4-8 people, or when I have 4+ servings worth of leftovers. They are also awesome for freezing a few quarts of leftover soup. If cooking for a smaller group or you have less leftovers I would grab a smaller size, like the 8x12. This is also the largest bag I think I could use in the VP215
    These vac bags are the real deal. Super high quality at the best price anywhere. We use these with our foodsaver machine, and they work exactly as the foodsaver bags do. 3mil thick plastic is ideal for locking out odors and off flavors for extended storage. We primarily use these bags for sous vide cooking. We will put 3-4 lbs of seasoned chicken breast, or 2-3 steaks in each bag and vacuum seal before cooking in a water bath. After the food is cooked, it's removed and seared on cast iron. Using large bags like these simplifies our cooking and saves money on wasted bags. Such a great value and high quality product.
    We are SO very happy with the 10"X15" Chamber Vacuum Pouches. We use them for our pasture raised whole chickens that we sell at farmers markets. They pouches seal great, look professional and keep our meats fresh!

    This is a great bag for use with Ary VP-215 vacuum sealer. I use them for pork trotters and shanks from hogs. Good seal, tough bag.
    We have used these bags of differing sizes for over 3 years now with good results. Its a straightforward product, but no problems at all in 3 years.
    These vacuum bags are top quality. I have never had a problem even double bagging bone in ribeyes with the bone sticking into the plastic.

    I guess you don't realize how big the box of 1000 bags is until you see it. It's big and I love it. The cost is a fraction of other bags. The quality is much better too. So far, after about 300 bags sealed with VP215 not a single bad seal. 3 Mil bags are perfect for about anything, other than sharp bones. For that I would get 4 Mil bags. 10" x 15" are very good size but can be too big for smaller amounts of food. I am planning to get another 1000 piece box of smaller bags to reduce waste. The good things about 15" bags is that you can use some of the food, cut off the seal and comfortably re-seal again. Very happy with the purchase.
    This bag is perfect for sous vide cooking. Thick enough to vacuum seal bone-in proteins. Check your seal time on you vacuum machine because these bags are thicker than most. Also, these bags are the cheapest I've found thus far!
    The quality of these bags is outstanding. The 3 mil is almost puncture proof (I've never accidentally punctured a bag) and the pre-sealed sides and bottom have never failed when vacuum sealing. Be sure you know what size will work best for your applications. For example, I have these 10 x 15 bags and they are wonderful for chicken breasts, steaks, pork cutlets and other food items which can be placed one at a time in the bag. It will easily hold 6 chicken breasts, for example. The only drawback to this size - and maybe it's just me - but this isn't quite wide enough for roasts. That's why just minutes ago I ordered the 12 x 15 bags, which I think will more easily accommodate thick and irregular items such as a pork roast or even a whole chicken. But again, the size you need will be determined by what you're doing with the bags. One other thing I've used these bigger bags for is to freeze chopped vegetables. I cut the bag into the needed sizes, seal the new cuts with my impulse sealer (sometimes doing two 'seams') then I load the newly formed bags with a recipe's worth of chopped veggies and vacuum seal. That way you don't have to thaw out a large quantity of veggies - you have just what you need in one small bags. Read Less Read More
    I use these bags all the time. I must use around 100 a week and they always hold up really well. The only thing to watch out for is bones as they do poke through the bags if not taken care of. Great bags and I will definitely be using them again.
