- Is this Vacmaster vacuum bag / pouch boilable?
- Yes, Vacmaster bags and pouches can be boiled. All styles will withstand boiling temperatures for up to 20 minutes; for maximum performance, check out their ”Re-Therm” line of bags, which can be boiled for 30 minutes.
- How do I determine if a vacuum machine bag will work on my machine?
If you have a chamber-type machine: Buy a chamber-type bag (mesh-less design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine, and the bag must also fit inside your machine’s chamber.
If you have an external-type machine: You must buy an external-type, or "out of chamber" bag (mesh design). The open end of the vacuum bag must be the same size or shorter than the seal bar on your machine.

- What foods cannot be vacuum sealed?

So often vacuum bags are thin and tear so easily causing more food waste. These are just the right size and weight for everyday use.
We have used these for several years. In addition to vacuum packaging on VacMaster VP215 for meat portions, we found these were the bags of perfect size for standard “2” styrofoam trays. We use the trays and the bags to package our handmade wontons.
A great intermediate-size pouch to have on hand. Holds a seal well. Good price, and sturdy. If I were going to buy a case of either these or the 4-mil, I would buy these. For the occasional times when I might need to worry about puncturing a pouch, I would double bag (rather than stocking up on thicker, more-expensive bags that I would rarely need).
Great bags for jerky or slim jim sticks. Found that on our VP112 seal time is about a 6 and on our VP215 it is 1.6 seconds with a 4 second cool down.
These VacMaster bags are a life saver! They help reduce waste by so much! We are able to use the ends of the bag as a 'second' bag for the price of one.

Incredible price, very durable. I find the 8" x 10" is good for holding about 800 ml or just over three cups of liquid. At this price you can individually package portions of meat instead of trying to space two or more servings in a larger bag.
We use these sized bags primarily for two purposes. First, we buy nuts in bulk and use these bags to vacuum seal them into smaller units. Second, we use them for sous vide for smaller items. These bags have been terrific. We have had nuts that we opened a year later that were still as fresh as the day we bought them.

I use these bags as quart size bags in my VP215 chamber vacuum. They are 3 mil bags and you can use them to store food in your ice box, freeze in your freezer or boil food straight out of the freezer. Very sturdy and at a great price.

This bag is perfect for sous vide cooking. Thick enough to vacuum seal bone-in proteins. Check your seal time on you vacuum machine because these bags are thicker than most. Also, these bags are the cheapest I've found thus far!
These Ary VacMaster 3 mil chamber vacuum bags are excellent quality and the 8 x 10 size is ideal for packaging chicken breasts for freezing (holds 2 large breasts or 3 smaller ones). I also use this size to sous vide chicken breasts or rib eye steaks. This is a high quality bag from the VacMaster manufacturer; I've never punctured one with a bone (for example) or had one fail to vacuum seal. And that package of 1000 will last the average family for years. In fact, I sometimes use the bag with my impulse sealer without vacuum sealing. Works great for non-food items, too.
These bags are very versatile. I use them for my book business. I bag the more expensive books in these bags and my customers leave a lot of positive feedback for me. I also use these bags for home use for leftovers, soups, and other things. I use my Impulse sealer to seal the bags, which is another great item that Webstaurant sells. Overall great price, very happy, and will definitely be getting more in the future.

This bag is great for sous vide small ingredient. I found that I use this bag more often than the other size. If you just bought the vacuum sealer and they provided sample bag for you, I would use those sample bag first to see which bag size is suitable for your needs.
These chamber bags are of the highest quality. We go thru about four thousand of these a month during deer season and have never had one fail to seal. This is the best price available!!
