So it took me a little while to actually try them in the vac. sealer. and although they look great nice thickness and size etc - the machine does not seem to actually suck the air out of these bags very well - they seal fine but what is the point if they don't actually remove the air pockets???? I'm very disappointed - (as a side note the machine I have is new )

Sharp bones may still need an additional layer of protection but at the price of these bags, simply cut one and add a piece as double layer. The only thing I did not expect was to lose 3/8" on each side of the bag due to the seal but none the less I'm super happy with these.
