5 1/2" Extra Fine Round Skimmer is perfect for skimming the top of liquids. Very well made and overall high quality. Highly recommend if you're in the market.

great for skimming smaller items off the fryer like peanuts, or rendered fat from soup as well as straining impurities from the top of the soup.
Armand K. from armand’s Kitchen Posted on 04/12/2018
The holes are small enough to not drop the food but big enough to drain the oil and food waste. The handle is long for easy use.

I have been searching for one of these everywhere! Great for frying fries, chicken, and shrimp! Also great for boiling pasta and eggs. My only problem is the scum gets stuck in the wire part hard to clean.

Easy to use and clean. I would recommend this product again and again. Great for frying shrimp, chicken, french fries and a variety of foods.

Does the job at hand. Construction is a little bit flimsy, and it does stain easily, especially when exposed to heat. All and all it works well.

Can you say "worth every penny"'. Yes, it is great for skimming the top while cooking, but I use it to remove fries, chicken, boiled eggs and then some. It is the perfect size not being too big but I would prefer a longer handle, but other than that this is a must have in my kitchen.

This is an actual fine mesh skimmer. It is not wire or anything, but a true mesh skimmer and works for getting the fine particulates out of whatever you are sifting, in our case flour.

works exactly as you would imagine. Sturdy and holds up to high temperatures as it should. handle slightly uncomfortable in the hand, but otherwise works great

This is a great product to remove fried items from a fryer. The net can withstand a lot of heat and the handle is the perfect length to prevent burns. Great item for the price!

I purchased this for multiple uses. It has been used with great success for sifting, frying and draining. This skimmer is a workhorse. I highly recommend it.

This skimmer is excellent at getting fried items out of hot oil! The handle is long enough to avoid injury and solid enough to withstand use!

When it comes to skimmers I always seem to prefer the extra fine. Never really saw the need for larger. This skimmer is perfect for grabbing those fried delicacies out of your oil!

I purchased the Town 6" extra fine round skimmer. The fine mesh works great when you want to scoop up small pieces from your cooking pot.

Surprisingly hard to find an extra fine skimmer, but webstaurant has everything. It's Very light but wouldn't say that it's a very long lasting product, but considering the price, wouldn't mind buying a new one when needed.

I purchased to replace one that had broken that we use for the fryers. If the mesh screen is extra fine then the one I had is super fine. The handle is not shaped well for cleaning (I know I can bend it), the face does not have enough surface area for larger two basket fryer at least not if you are using the fryer for hand breaded foods. I will however be using this for my cold brewed coffee.

I bought 2 of these and I do not recommend them. First it rust. Second the support metal rod under the mesh broke. The welding was poorly done. Buy something else.

The Town 6" extra fine round skimmer is a good tool. The ribbed metal pieces supporting the mesh are sturdy, and the price was excellent.

Nice fine mesh, nice sturdy handle, does what it should. However, the mesh is a little flimsy as is the whole bowl in general, and though after 2-3 uses it has yet to show much damage it feels like it would break quickly under the demands of a professional kitchen.

This is a nice strainer with a very fine mesh. It is great for skimming small items. I use it for blanching peas. It is much gentler than other skimmers or slotted spoons.

Excellent product for straining and skimming small batches of items. I have used it for pulling tortellini out of the pot and for draining quinoa that has been rinsed.

Excellent skimmer! Works great for blanching small batches of vegetables or cooking gnocchi. Very durable. Great for skimming deep fat fryers too! Cant be the price!
