Customer questions about this product

How can I properly care for this aluminum item?
Hand washing is always the best option to ensure that your aluminum stays in best working order. However, if you decide to clean these in a dishwasher, we strongly recommend using metal-safe detergents and sanitizers to eliminate any flaking or tarnishing that could occur from some harsher cleaners.
What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.

For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.

pan fry helper Aluminum great heavy handles heats pans Handle

After one week of use, Chef informs me "this is the best fry pan she has ever used". Time to order another one and replace our older ones.

Handle broke off in first 2 weeks but doesn't really need it, still a good skillet.

The 12" Aluminum stainless steel fry pan is sturdy and not as heavy as I had anticipated. It has been perfect for sauteeing, simmering and steaming and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

A pan we use to sautee our vegetables and it does a really great job, not too heavy so it save the wrist from hurting at the end of the day. This pans heats very evenly too.

The 12" Aluminum Clad Stainless Steel Fry Pan wth Helper Handle is a solid purchase. The helper handle is more of a hindrance than a help, though.

This is a great basic 12 inch fry pan. It is an essential for any kitchen. great for searing in, simmering a sauce or even steaming mussels or clams in with a lid.

The pan is very heavy duty and well made. The aluminum cladding on the bottom is very thick and should distribute heat very well. The only potential concern is the handles being spot welded on rather than riveted. Though the welds are well done, riveting seems to be more secure over the long term. But for the price, it is an excellent piece of cookware.
