This gasket is very essential for your grease trap. Over time you will need to replace this gasket due to heavy use from emptying the trap weekly.
I purchased this extra gasket because the ones that came with my Grease Trap were warping and ripping apart. This new gasket helped ensure that my grease trap was shut tight and no remaining odors would escape the trap itself. Definitely purchase a new set of gaskets, versus applying super-glue on your old ones.
