I've used this guide to help myself start brewing beer at home. It has been fairly useful. I didn't know you could start doing it with so few resources. The hard part the book doesn't cover much is where to find the materials. Aside from online resources, you need to be in an area that has specialty stores that carry the yeast and other items you will need. But good resource.
Don't expect it to be a TELL ALL book on what to do verbatim, however, there are some recipes. Its a great intro to brewing history AND how-to get started with your own homemade equipment.
This gift makes for a perfect gift for any craft beer fan! It's totally worth the money and helps anyone to learn how to start brewing.
