For big quantities it is very adequate. Any cooked dish you make will come out delicious because it heats up all the bottom evenly all around.

This pan is well worth the money! I had a cheap all aluminum one for about 3 years and the bottom worped after being used 4 to 5 times a day. This stainless one wont worp and has a really even heat! No more scorching in the shape of the burner when brazing beef! Price was awesome too.
