Mercer Culinary M33112P 10" x 2" Polypropylene Slanted Blade Guard

Only a few of my knives have a straight up-and-down bolster, so the slant cut for the hilt end of the knife is essential; on the other end, a straight cut provides maximum protection for a knife point. Mercer gets it right. Their blade guards fit tightly, so even if you toss your knife in a drawer the guard holds its position protecting the blade edge.

The mercer Culinary M33113P 10" x 2" Polypropylene Blade Guard is a great blade sleeve for protecting your knife. I used mine to transport my blades and love them.

The Mercer 10" x 2" Slanted Blade Guard does a good job of protecting knife-edges from damage while allowing the blades to be safely stored. The Polypropylene construction makes allows whenever this needs to be cleaned, which I assume is fairly infrequently.

Bought this to go with a Mercer Millenia Bread knife (10"). As you can see, it fits completely. A bit tricky at first on how to operate those. It seems ideal to insert the knife along the edge, as if it was biting into the sheath, rather than sliding it like a sword (won't work with those). Those sheaths are a bit tough. It is 100% plastic and it seems quite sturdy. Similar to those by another brand, but thicker and tighter. A bit too tight to my liking for easy insertion and extraction. Certainly strong enough to survive transport. For just a few dollars, I'm not complaining. If you want a smooth felt interior, it will likely cost several times more than those from Mercer,

This blade cover does exactly what I need it to do, cover my blade securely and completely. It holds nicely on the blade making me comfortable carrying my knife around.

Excellent blade guard for my Takamura R2 Gyuto, and keeps the exceedingly sharp blade securely protected when I'm rooting around in my knife drawer. The 10" length is great for Japanese Gyutos in the 8" class (which are slightly longer than 8"). As long as you keep the guard dust free, it shouldn't mar your blade. A worthwhile investment for expensive knives.

I ordered several sizes of these blade guards. The plastic is quite sturdy and fits my butcher knife and chef's knife perfectly. Since I have never used this type of blade guard before it has taken a little to get used to how to use them. I'm confident it will protect my knives.

Ordered these for my Cutco Chef's knives. They fit perfectly, and have stayed snug through many ins and outs of blade. Caution... do not put them in the dishwasher. They lost their form.

These blade guards work beautifully! I have multiples of these guards in every size. They are great if you take your knives to events, no cut fingers!
