I like this whip attachment a lot. It does a nice job incorporating plenty of air into your heavy cream or butter cream. It's very large.

Love this whip attachment! It is a great addition to my collection. It makes whipping cream a breeze and gets my egg whites nice and fluffy.

This whip works well, and gets the job done. I gave it 4/5 stars, because after significant use, we have had a few of the wires snap.

KitchenAid KSMC7QEW Stainless Steel NSF Elliptical Wire Whip for Commercial Stand Mixers may be a bit more expensive than the rest of the whisk but you're getting something that's going to last longer too

This is a reliable, solid whip attachment for your mixer. We use it for making merengue, whipped cream and marshmallows in our coffee shop and small bakery.

This is a great little wire whip. We had to replace our original one because someone banged it up, but if used properly these should last for years.

I ordered in addition to my kitchenaid 8Qt mixer, It works really well and looks exactly like the original one. I cluld not tell the difference between the two

Works fine for my needs, which are primarily meringues and whipped cream. I have made very stiff (glue consistency) royal icing with no problem. I do wish it had the more spherical balloon shape as I find it helps meringues whip up a bit better, but it does the job well enough.

We have purchased two of these whips because they work SO WELL and hold up to a lot of use. They are easy to clean and store.

I have been using this SS whip with my commercial mixer for the past year and I like it. I am surprised some reviewers are having issues with bending and twisting, but then again, in my case for light home use only. I'd say for home use it does the job really well. Stainless steel is huge help when cleaning - even dried up batter, frosting and whatnot comes off easily.

We bought 2 of these for our stand mixers and they are only used to make frosting. They bend easily and make it so it does not mix very well. Poorly made.

As others have pointed out, this whip isn't ideal for thick batters. Once I have added a significant amount of flour (such as when making bread dough in the Kitchenaid stand mixer) I switch over to the flat beater to finish mixing (then switch to the dough hook once finished adding most of my flour). Whisk also seems to work best with more than 1 cup mixture of liquid/egg, since I typically hand mix the yeast/water/sugar mixture before I start my bread dough in the mixer.

For the price I was expecting it to hold up better than the other KitchenAid whips have. This one twist and torks out of shape and we find ourselves constantly having to realign the wire prior to each use. It's slightly better but still the most disappointing part of our KitchenAid.

Thanks for your review! This whip is designed to handle the demands of the foodservice industry but using it to mix thick batters and large quantities will put strain on the whip. Thick batters should be mixed in smaller quantities in order to reduce strain.

This is a great wire whip, especially if you are trying to incorporate air in to any of your products. This will help create airy souffles, whip creams, and meringues.

Purchased this head when I got my KitchenAid mixer. It has worked very well. It creates a nice current in the batter. Also very strong wires prevent bending.
