It WILL NOT CLEAN! Time to vent... If you plan on using this thing, take a couple days off work beforehand so you have time to figure out how to disassemble it (absolutely no help from the owners pamphlet), clean what comes apart, then try and try to dig all the crud out of the nooks and crannys. Fail. Curl into a ball. Weep. Rethink you life. It's too late for me, save yourself. And it shoot little pieces of meat out the back as it cuts.

This slicer is a beast and works right out of the box. Definitely 5 stars on the slicer, BUT the company needs to be slapped silly for putting out such a poorly written manual. Lets see what's missing? 1 No information whatsoever how to clean the machine, not a word. All the manual refers to is lubrication, nothing else. No information on how to take apart, just nothing. 2 No information or even a tool for removing the blade, none. The manual does not even describe any of the main detachment bolts. Fortunately, we already understand these types of slicers, but c'mon not a single word? Also there is no information as to what size hex tool to use for the blade. Do not buy this slicer. We are now on our third replacement after having the same malfunction each time. Our first one broke after 8 months (conveniently just 2 months after the standard warranty was over). The next two broke within one week of use. There is a problem with the drive belt that causes it to wear and eventually fail and/or just not work from the get-go. Because it is an in-house brand, Webstaurant is unable to give any manufacturer information such as replacement part numbers, etc. We purchased the extended warranty on our second unit, but are dissatisfied with the response. They sent a replacement quickly, but would not accept a return of the old unit. You just cut the cord and then are stuck with recycling or disposing of a machine that may have been fixable. I will be looking for a different brand that is made to last and made to be repaired, not just thrown away.

I bought this machine, and wow did it do a good job of cutting my smoke cured bacon, but like one reviewer stated the manual is horrible. There is no mention of how to remove the blade for cleaning or anything. I have searched high and low for a video or any instructions on how to actually clean this slicer but cannot find any. I find all kinds of videos and instructions for other slicers but not this one. I have had this slicer going on 2 years now and i want to find another brand just based on the lack of literature available for this machine.

The perfect sized slicer for smaller projects. If you need something between a mandoline, and a heavy duty slicer, this product is for you. This is a must have piece of kitchen equipment. I highly recommend this product to any and every kitchen.

Awesome slicer! Perfect for everyday home use! And small volume business. I have been looking for awhile and this is the best quality for the money that I could ask for. I use it on a weekly basis and so far no issues at all.

I am surprised that Webstraunt store sells this piece of equipment. The assembly of the rear blade guard is such that it cannot be removed without major disassembly. There are multiple set screws that would have to be removed, and removing them requires flipping the machine upside down and would likely alter the calibration of the blade. It is not possible to properly clean and sanitize multiple areas of the slicer without removal of the rear blade guard. When we contacted Webstraunt store about this issue, they were unwilling to allow us a return. While I understand that the machine isn't "defective," it also isn't up to the necessary sanitation standards of a piece of commercial equipment. It slices just fine but rust pretty easy and needs to keep dry and clean and cover when not in use on every usage prior.

I ordered this slicer for light duty use every once in a while. Once it was delivered I opened it to find you can only cut something that is 5 inches wide (the manual says 6 inches, but that not what the tape measure says.) I even looked before ordering and the website says 8 inches, but apparently they count the part of the tray that you can't use. I requested a return and was told I should of downloaded the manual before ordering and will now have to pay a "restocking" fee and shipping. That's going to be about half the cost of the unit itself. The item description is misleading and the most important information of a slicer (the size of what can actually be sliced) should be listed front and center and not hidden in a hard to find download of the manual.

Great little meat slicer.....except one of my employees lost a screw for the blade and I can't find a replacement anywhere. Now it's unusable. Being such a small piece you'd think it'd be easy to get a replacement.

High quality unit that is perfect for home use. I really like the size and keep it on a rolling cart so it's easy to pull out when I need to use it. I was really impressed with how effortlessly and perfectly it slices. Very easy to clean with the blade all the way in the zero position. I would highly recommend this slicer to anyone who likes making homemade sandwiches using freshly cooked meats without all the nitrates.

I should have gotten bigger slicer. Only good for small stuff like pepperoni and salami. Not practical to clean. i should have bought the Advantco. Will not even cut a loaf of cheese well.

Machine quit after owning for 8 months. Barely used. Manufacture warranty is only good for 6 months. Customer service was less than helpful.

Excellent this slicer is cheap but works like a professional, do not make noise, slices come out evenly..I use it three times per week for ham and Serrano Spanish Ham

I really like this item. It has worked flawlessly over the years and I use it mostly for product demonstrations and food shows but also to make sample kits as I work in wholesale foodservice sales. This item is worth much more in my opinion compared to the price I paid.

This slicer is not a good product. To clean it we need actual hand tools. Very time consuming and ineffective

So upset. Have a large event to cater and this slicer decided to no work. We have used it a total of 6 times since we have had it. And BOOM, Not working. I am sure there isn't a warranty anymore. I just won't buy from this site anymore. I am only one person so Ia m sure it won't hurt their business. But it is ruining mine. It's the weekend and no one to borrow one from . Not even 3 years old and used it 6 times and it took a dump. We had a cover on it and stored in our kitchen which is temp controlled so not sure why this happened. All I know is we are in big trouble for this event BLAH!
