Details
Offer your customers a taste of the best the Mountain West has to offer with this Kinikin Processing 8 oz. Rocky Mountain 14+ day dry-aged sirloin steak! This meat comes from cows that are raised with care by expert ranchers on the lush pastures of western Colorado. The animals are never raised with antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids, and only humane slaughtering and processing methods are used to ensure the finest quality meat for your patrons. All Kinikin Processing beef is carefully dry aged for between 14 and 21 days, delivering complex flavor with a hint of nuttiness and an exquisitely tender texture! This hearty steak comes from the prized top sirloin and is thick enough to satisfy even your hungriest patrons. It boasts a fair amount of fat marbling throughout, which creates mouthwateringly rich, beefy flavor that will tempt any steak connoisseur. When cooked to medium-rare perfection and served alongside tender, fresh vegetables or garlicky mashed potatoes, this first-class, boneless steak makes a truly show-stopping addition to your menu!
This sirloin steak's thick cut makes it a perfect candidate for grilling or cooking in the oven. Keep in mind that dry-aged steaks tend to cook faster than conventional meat, so monitor this steak closely during preparation to avoid overcooking. For a truly memorable grilled entree, let your seasoned steak reach room temperature while you heat your grill to medium-high. Sear your steak over the hottest part of the flame for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, then lower the heat, close the lid, and allow your steak to continue cooking for an additional 6 to 10 minutes, depending on the heat of your grill and your desired level of doneness. If you want to cook a perfect steak every time in the oven, sear your room-temperature steak in butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, and then transfer the skillet to an oven that's been preheated to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow your steak to bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes; the high heat will lock in the steak's mouthwatering juices without drying out your meat! With either cooking method, allow your steaks to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to ensure maximum flavor in every juicy bite.
Nestled in the soaring mountains of western Colorado, the rural town of Montrose is a picture-perfect location for ranchers to run herds of cattle and elk. In the countless acres of prime grazing land that surround the town, animals roam lush mountain pastures and consume a varied diet, creating some of the finest meats money can buy! In 2003, Kinikin Processing was founded with the mission of connecting Montrose ranchers with consumers by offering delicious, locally-sourced meats at reasonable prices. What began as a small operation producing elk jerky and meat snack sticks quickly grew into a local favorite spot for smoked meats, butchery, and processing! This family-owned and -operated company is proud to offer hand-cut meats, specialty elk products, and expertly dry-aged beef, all while supporting their local community and helping farmers prosper. Bring the taste of the Rockies to your tables with all-American meat products from Kinikin Processing!
