Details

Offer your guests a taste of one of the most sought-after American caviars with this Bemka Hackleback caviar! This caviar is sourced from the Hackleback sturgeon (also known as Shovelnose, Sand sturgeon, and Switchtail), which is native to the rivers of the southern United States. This caviar is sourced from wild-caught fish, ensuring an exceptional flavor and quality. The eggs are small and have a dark, smoky gray to charcoal black hue that will catch the eye of even your most discerning patrons. This caviar boasts a rich yet mild flavor that's highly regarded by connoisseurs for its nuttiness, hints of sweetness, and lingering salt finish; it bears a striking resemblance to the taste of prized Sevruga caviar. This product has a velvety texture and the eggs gently burst on the tongue. This caviar is a delicious and budget-friendly alternative to European caviars that doesn't sacrifice great flavor, making it a perfect addition to any meal or event.

When serving this caviar to your guests, avoid metal vessels and utensils, as these can produce a metallic flavor that compromises the pure, fresh taste of this product. Glass, ceramic, and bone serving ware are suitable options, though mother of pearl and gold are the most traditional and luxuriant choices. Serve this caviar very cold by transferring it to a serving bowl nestled inside a larger bowl filled with crushed ice. Many purists insist that caviar is best enjoyed on its own; for a true experience of this flavorful product, invite your guests to scoop up a small spoonful of caviar and use their tongues to gently press it onto the roofs of their mouths, without chewing. The eggs will burst and release their complex flavor, allowing your guests to savor this exquisite sensory experience.

If you want to serve this caviar with other morsels, offer it atop toast points, unsalted crackers, or blini (small Russian crepes). It is traditionally served alongside accompaniments like lemon wedges, creme fraiche, chopped herbs, and minced onion, but you can also use it as a garnish for spreads, dips, salads, and other cold dishes. For wine pairings, offer your guests complementary flavors like blanc de blancs champagne, crisp and fruity rose, or any variety of dry white wine. This American caviar also pairs beautifully with ice cold vodka! To ensure the freshness of this product, this caviar should be consumed within 3 days of opening; unopened, refrigerated containers will stay fresh for 4 to 6 weeks. No matter how you choose to serve it, this Hackleback caviar is sure to set your establishment apart from the competition!
