Frymaster Filtration

Frymaster Filtration

The first step in filtration is to clean the filter pan. Debris in the crumb tray should be placed in a sealed fire-proof container. Certain combinations of organic material and oils can spontaneously combust. Remove the crumb tray. Remove the hold-down ring. Remove and discard the filter paper. Remove the inner screen. Clean the pan. Don't allow water to enter the filter system. Reassemble the pan. The inner screen goes in first. It is aligned with heads in the bottom of the pan. The filter paper goes on top of the screen. It's edges lap onto the wall of the pan. The hold-down ring goes on the filter paper which extends above the edges of the ring. Add 1 packet of filter powder. Insert the crumb basket. The bracket goes under the male oil connection. Inspect the O-rings on the male oil connection. They must be intact to ensure a good seal. Push the pan into place. The fryer must be at operating temperature to filter. Ensure the oil is at or near set point and turn the computer off. Remove large debris from the oil. Ensure the filter pan is ready for filtration and open the drain valve. The oil drains from the fry pot. Turn the filter pump on. Leave the drain valve open. The oil re-enters the fry pot in the rear and flows through he drain in the front, flushing debris to the filter pan. Allow the oil to flow in this manner for 5 minutes. Clogs in the drain can be cleared with the fryer's friend, which is used to push debris through the drain valve. Wear protective clothing and be cautious. Hot oil can cause serious injuries. Use the device carefully. Do not mar the surface of the valve. Close the drain valve. Leave the filter pump on. The oil will fill the fry pot. As the filter pan empties, oil bubbles will form in the fry pot. Allow the bubbling to go on for 15-20 seconds. This clears the lines of oil. Turn the filter pump off. Add more oil if necessary.

Frymaster PF80 LP Details

Thanks to a convenient reversible pump that allows you to efficiently drain and refill your fryer, filtering your oil has never been easier than with this Frymaster PF80 LP 80 lb. low profile mobile fryer oil filter machine! This unit extends the usable life of your oil by removing sediment, carbon deposits, fatty acids, and other agents that contribute to oil breakdown and poor taste. Running regular filtration cycles reduces how much money you spend on oil and helps you produce consistently high quality fried foods, which keeps customers coming back for more and bringing new ones along to enjoy your menu!

This model comes with a 5' return hose and a long wand for maximum reach and comfort during use. Operation couldn't be simpler, too - turn off the fryer and place the hose into the frypot, being sure to keep it out of the sediment zone. The unit turns on with the flip of a switch to start the filter pump, which drains the oil to the filter pan of the unit. Alternatively, with this low profile unit you can drain the oil directly into the filter basin. After this, a 5-minute polish cycle cleans the oil for maximum life, and you can return it to the frypot! The 4 GPM, 1/3 hp filter pump draws the oil out quickly, and can be reversed to relieve sediment clogs and prevent damage to the filter unit.

This model comes with a filter starter kit, a stainless steel pan and pump housing, and casters to make it easy to move between your fryer(s) and storage. Additionally, it is designed with a low profile 10 1/2" tall tank, which allows it to fit into tighter spaces than a standard 80 lb. fryer filter. It requires a 120V electrical connection and comes with a cord and plug.
