An ideal alternative to traditional, petroleum-based plastic utensils, this fork is BPI certified and made of CPLA, a plant- and chalk-based plastic that's formed with renewable resources to minimize environmental impact upon disposal. CPLA (crystalized PLA) is stronger and can withstand higher temperatures than standard PLA, up to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, resulting in a sturdier utensil.

These are exactly what i was looking for. A lot of my customers appreciate getting a compostable fork. They understand that they cost extra, but can be turned back into soil...then they throw them in the trash. Honestly, its not worth it unless YOU enforce composting. ALL of the compostable take away containers ii give to customers end up in landfills anyway. Im sorry to say, i just cant afford to 'do the right thing' and im going back to the plastic ones.
