This thermometer is ideal for tracking the temperature of all kinds of cooked or baked goods without the risk of cross-contamination. It can measure temperatures from -25 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 200 Celsius) within 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius) in half a second. It also features a backlit LCD display that clearly shows temperature readings to the user. This thermometer is powered by 1 9V Alkaline battery.

This infrared thermometer's distance to spot ratio is 4:1 with preconfigured .97 emissivity rate that is ideal for food surface measurements. Knowing the exact temperatures of food prevents waste and allows for measurements on hard to reach areas. Its gun-shaped design and trigger activation make it very ergonomic and easy to use in your commercial kitchen. Just point and pull the trigger to get an accurate temperature reading. Need to record measurements? Activate the hold feature to freeze the display for 7 seconds.

What is the importance of an infrared thermometer's distance to target ratio?

The distance to target ratio (DTR or "distance to spot ratio") shows the diameter of the circle of the surface area being measured. For instance, a 12:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 12" away, or a 2.5:1 DTR measures a 1" diameter from 2 1/2" away. Keeping your distance from what you are measuring will ensure extra cleanliness in your business.
