Taylor 9523 Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer

Wow, I really have found myself using this a lot more than I thought. It’s perfect for checking the temperature of a pan so I know when it has been properly heated. It is quick, accurate, and very reliable

This thermometer is so convenient and much needed for our catering events. We are pleased that it can take cold as well as hot temperatures, beyond what a regular thermometer can do. It comes in a case, which is nice and also professional. We have used it over and over again. I only gave it four stars because when it came, there were no instructions for use, only for putting in the battery. We figured it out eventually but believe that this should have come with usage instructions.

We love this infrared thermometer. It does a great job and makes the temping of item very quick. We have had 2 in the past 3 years.

These are not great for the restaurant industry. They only take the temperature of the surface of an item, not giving an accurate temp. I recommend a thermometer that give a reading when you insert it into the food.

This is probably my favorite thermometer. I use it whenever I am heating up a frying pan, so that I can not only find hot and cold spots ( the laser helps with that), i can also find out when the pan is ready for use, and stay below the smoke point of whatever oil I am using. It is a powerful, modern cooking tool, that makes setting your range to "medium" feel as outdated as cooking on an open fire!

Haven't had any issues with this. Can read temperatures accurately in F and C. Can be used anything from oils to french tops and everything in between.

The thermometer is quite handy for checking the temperature of fry pans and such. It can also give some idea if meats are ready, but you'll want to double check them with a probe thermometer, since IR only reads surface temperatures. Still it is very handy to have. In terms of the build quality, It is solid, uses standard batteries, feels good in the handand the price is neither low nor high for what it is.

These infrared thermometers are a great time saver for checking freezer and cooler temps daily. Works great for maintaining constant temperatures of our grills as well.

from what I can tell so far, this seems to be a pretty well made infrared thermometer and nice for the price. it comes with a carrying case for storage and while the temperature seems to fluctuate a little bit, it appears to be accurate thus far.

This Taylor Infrared Thermometer is very accurate and is handy to check the temperature inside a cooler or holding cabinet quickly. This was the best price I could find online too!
