Customer Q&A Ask a Question

Are the blades interchangeable?
Yes, if you replace the blade and pusher block together, you can easily switch a Choice, Thunder Group, or Winco brand french fry blade from one cutter to another. The blade frames are the same size and the mounting screws are positioned in the same locations. However, the replacement blades and pusher blocks are not compatible with Nemco fry cutters.
Can I use this French fry / potato cutter when working with sweet potatoes?
No, it is recommended to not use sweet potatoes with this French fry / potato cutter since sweet potatoes are too hard and too dense to properly pass through the cutter blades. Forcing sweet potatoes through could ultimately end up breaking the blades.

Save your money and buy a better brand if you are using it for a commercial. The blade is too dull where you have to use extreme force to push through. My bargain for cheap end up costing more money at the end since this is an online order.
Thank you for your review, Thien! We are sorry you did not like this fry cutter. We recommend trying Vollrath's 47713 3/8" French Fry Cutter for a more durable cutter for your commercial restaurant.

Works great. My fries are fantastic when using this. It does need to be attached to the wall if you are using it often though.

This french fry cutter has saved me hundreds of dollars by being able to make my own fries. Plus, I don't need as much freezer space for frozen fries any more. The fasteners need periodic tightening. Very durable and is not showing any signs of wear or damage despite me always putting it away to air dry.
Amazing tools to make fries great quality. Very fast delivery ..The price Is great and totally worth it even if they had some custom fees.
I saved so much money using this cutter and making my own (bulk) fries. Every home should own this fry cutter. I have both the 3/8 and 1/4 cutter. Kids old likesmall fries, adults prefer bigger fries.
This is a great fry cutter for the price. For a fraction of the price as I have seen others, this does exactly what we need it for, to make fries. Easy to hang on wall, easy to use, easy to take apart to clean. Highly recommend.

We use this a hundred times a day and have never had any issues with it. It is very durable and the blade lasts quite a long time. Would buy again.
I love making french fries, but this is just hard to use. You are REQUIRED to clamp or bolt this to a hard surface, such as a counter-top or heavy table in order to use this correctly. (Failure to do so will make using the machine almost impossible, as the handle requires a lot of force to push down, which will cause the machine to raise up off the table, negating any force that might be applied to the potato.) A light table will lift up when you use it, and don't even try it with a plastic table. (You will damage the table!) I see they recently came out with a model with suction cups. I cannot attest to how this will change things, but if those suction cups aren't properly attached each time you use the machine, they will basically become useless, and you will have to clamp the device down again. Once properly clamped, or otherwise secured, place your potato in the slide, then use all your weight to pull the arm down in order to force the potato through the blades. If the potato becomes stuck, then you need to slam the arm down several times in order to force the entire potato through, damaging some of the fries. No matter the size, the blades will quickly dull with use, requiring even more force to be used. There is no easy way to sharpen the blades, especially at the smaller sizes, which means needing to buy another blade and push block. The Push block is hard to clean, especially at smaller sizes. Potato gets mashed into it, causing a rather bad mess, and quite a bit of time with a knife picking all the potato ends out of it. The rest of the machine disassembles easily for quick & easy cleaning. Despite all of this, it still makes french fries pretty nicely, but in the future, I might skip using this and just cut them by hand. If you need a machine to cut your fries, I recommend getting either an electric one, or a pneumatic one. Manual ones are physically taxing. Read Less Read More

This thing is bulletproof very easy to clean very heavy duty I would highly recommend this to everyone!! I use it at the restaurant and take it on my food truck
I bought this French Fry Cutter after searching the web for a decent product at a fair price. This is it! I really never expected this top level of quality. The entire cutter is heavy duty, large in size, with extremely sharp cutting edges. The arm slides effortlessly into the potato for perfect, full-bodied, fries. It looks and performs more like a commercial tool. Look no further! I highly recommend this awesome product. You will love it, too!

No need for frozen french fries. Thanks to this little machine, you can have fresh french fries. It is very easy to use and the results are amazing
I did not know that a french fry cutter could make such a difference. I've always hand-cut my potatoes for french fries which means they were never the same size and would cook unevenly. The french fry cutter cuts them all 3/8" so they all have the same cooking time. Very easy to use and can't believe I waited so long to get one!
Great potatoe cutter. Easy to mount and use. We mounted on the wall and cut down into buckets. Works great and easy for all to use.
Great french fry cutter, heavy duty, i use it in my restaurant and cut atleast 150 pounds of potato with this a day and it holding up nice
