3 out of 3 found this review helpfulSave your money and buy a better brand if you are using it for a commercial. The blade is too dull where you have to use extreme force to push through. My bargain for cheap end up costing more money at the end since this is an online order.Thank you for your review, Thien! We are sorry you did not like this fry cutter. We recommend trying Vollrath's 47713 3/8" French Fry Cutter for a more durable cutter for your commercial restaurant.
1 out of 1 found this review helpfulThis french fry cutter has saved me hundreds of dollars by being able to make my own fries. Plus, I don't need as much freezer space for frozen fries any more. The fasteners need periodic tightening. Very durable and is not showing any signs of wear or damage despite me always putting it away to air dry.
strong and easy to installed . we cut 50# of potatoes twice a day and its a life saver, our ladies prep-cooks are happy because they don't have use the tomato dicer to cut our potatoes. and its not hard to use for them neither, now they take 15 mins to prep our hand cut fries.
The build quality on these are not great... but I guess I shouldn't expect much from the price. The butterfly nuts fall out easily and get lost, and are extremely hard to replace (hardware store doesn't have that size...not other store either) But it's sharp, and cuts onions perfectly. I actually lost a butterfly nut in my potatoes when I was cutting them - found them after blanching some fries, and was quite alarmed. These things are easy to lose track of.Thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry you had issues with this cutter. For recommendations, please contact our Customer Solutions team.
Makes mounds of fries with very little effort! I only wish I had opted for the 1/4" size over the 3/8 as they cook faster
This potato cutter works smooth and efficiently. Fries are cut even every time. It’s a easy clean up. You can also purchase different blades for different size fries! My family loves it! We’ve used several times since I purchased about two months ago!
We use our fry cutter several times a year. We mounted it to a pallet and it works well. I pull the lever with one hand and catch the fries in a bowl with the other.
This cutter is built like a tank! very durable and most importantly cuts perfectly each time. Looking to get a few more, as fries have become a big hit with my business since getting it.
LOVE, love, love this this french fry cutter. I am very pleased with how well it mounted on the wall, the blades have stayed very sharp and it cleans up very easy!!
our hand cut fresh fries has been a great addition to our menu. customers love the fresh cut. we are saving on labor..... it has been a great buy. and the price is right.
This fry cutter is great. Cuts fries quickly and evenly into the perfect size for frying. Was able to cut up 100lbs of potatoes in about an hour. Gone are the days of using a knife to slice potatoes for fries.
while not the highest quality/level cutter you can get, this is still super heavy and high quality. its made of cast iron and cuts pretty easily with a little pressure. it's a good deal if you make a lot of fries.
Pretty good french fry cutter. We went through a couple of these over the passed couple of years in our store. We do use it all the time so it makes sense to wear out eventually. replacement parts are easy to buy if any parts break or get lost.
Pretty dang good for a touch over thirty bucks: plenty quality and heft. As others have said, you want to bolt to a wall or cutting board. Could be sharper, but I'll touch it up when I get the time.
You must be pretty strong to use this. I don't mind for home use cause it isn't that many potatoes. However wouldn't see myself using it as a chef and doing many at one time.
We love this sturdy unit. We make all of our fries from scratch now. This cool unit saves time and money. Our fries are better and cheaper.
This is a must buy. Great investment and we use it all the time! Easy to use and easy to clean. You should Buy it!!!
Good value for the money - if you're a large commercial kitchen you'll want to get the Vollrath brand as it will slice through large potatoes with easy. You'll need to replace the cutter on this often.
This cutter does a fine job with small to medium spuds. On the larger spuds there were issues. I will say if you are not going to bolt this to a tabletop or board get the suction cup version as we had to give up and bolt it down as it shifts.
I really like this French fry cutter. It works perfectly. The only problem I've come across is that a lot of use, the blade got a little dull. But you'd expect that with overuse of any blade
