Yes, if you replace the blade and pusher block together, you can easily switch a Choice, Thunder Group, or Winco brand french fry blade from one cutter to another. The blade frames are the same size and the mounting screws are positioned in the same locations. However, the replacement blades and pusher blocks are not compatible with Nemco fry cutters.
Can I use this french fry / potato cutter when working with sweet potatoes?
No, it is recommended to not use sweet potatoes with this french fry / potato cutter since sweet potatoes are too hard and too dense to properly pass through the cutter blades. Forcing sweet potatoes through could ultimately end up breaking the blades.

this choice half inch blade assemble is interchangeable on choice french fries cutter. these cutter blades are very sharp , you dont have to put a lot of force on the cutter handle to push the potato through this blade assembly as blades are very sharp.

The blades are rather sharp and fit perfectly on the fry cutter that I ordered. However, I do not foresee using it much since discovering that my cutter does not cut sweet potatoes well.

INTRO: This is the 1/2" blade and push block only. You aren't getting the base device unless you specifically buy it (which you need for this purchase to be of much use). There are other size french fry blades/pushers and various sized wedge cutter blades/pushers. They run about $10-20 each. SIZE: These are some big french fries. If you think about a McDonald's fry, it's probably the 1/4" size. This 1/2" size is therefore like 4 times the thickness of a McDonald's fry. Makes great fries! It fits great in the cutter, so I interchange them when needed. It\'s of great build quality, and I would definitely recommend.
Haven't used it yet but I'm sure it works like the 3/8 blade, only difference is makes 1/2 inch fries. they want you to write at least 29 words or I would of just wrote works just fine.
