CoolCheck Technology

This pan is designed to hold food safely below 41 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-8 hours on one charge. Simply place this pan in the freezer overnight (for a minimum of 8 hours) to charge it, and when it is ready to use, the pan will have turned blue on the outside! Using patent-pending technology, the exterior of the pan stays blue as long as it is holding food at or below a safe cold holding temperature.

Cold Identification

The blue color fades to white when foods have risen above safe holding and serving temperatures. However, as long as any part of the pan is blue, your food is still safe!

Durable ABS Construction

Made of high-impact ABS material, this pan is FDA approved so that you can be sure you are serving salads, desserts, lunch meat, or fruit from a safe and easy-to-clean pan.

Carlisle food safety. There are over 250 different types of food borne illnesses. Each year, 48 million people get sick from contaminated food. That's one in every 6 Americans. 128,000 people are hospitalized and 3,000 deaths occur each year from mishandled food. But the most startling fact, is that these cases are all preventable. Food items that are especially at risk are those that are sensitive to time and temperature control, and foods that are ready-to-eat like lettuce, fruits, vegetables, and anything else that doesn't require cooking. The flow of food is complex. Understanding the way food flows through a kitchen is vital to identifying critical control points. A plan including color coding and NSF-approved food handling products can reduce the potential for cross contact and help reduce the threat of cross contamination. Easy access lids are a convenient and sanitary way to reduce unwanted physical contaminants from entering food in a prep area or buffet. ColdMaster cold-holding food pans keep temperature sensitive foods out of the danger zone during operating hours. ColdMaster CoolCheck food pans even change color when the temperature is no longer foodsafe. Personal hygiene is also an important aspect of food. The sparta hand and nail brush cleans hands thoroughly, especially under the fingernails where bacteria collects. Carlisle foodservice products is dedicated to helping you maintain foodsafe practices. For more information, visit carlislefsp.com or reach out to us. CoolCheck has been out for about a year now and it’s been extremely successful with great success stories pouring in from around the US. Some of the best involved stories from chefs using CoolCheck for breading and battering. This grassroots idea helped us create the CoolCheck batter pro kit. Utilizing the technology behind our CoolCheck and combining it with real life culinary needs, we’ve helped chefs create a safer and more profitable menu. Chicken wings, a chef from a baseball stadium in Seattle shared this: CoolCheck was the only way they were able to keep their seasoned flour cold during an entire baseball game, making them thousands of dollars by opening 2 stands in the bleachers. Now, we often forget that once the flour or seasoning touched the raw meat, it by law has to be held just as cold as that meat, and CoolCheck is the perfect solution. It not only keeps the flour cold, but it also saves you money by not having to throw out that extra flour after every batch. That can lead to hundreds of dollars of savings. Let me put this aside. Now, the chicken wing idea was brilliant, but can be expanded to calamari or even grab a bigger pan and do fried chicken. Now, this guy is talking to other chefs who embraced the CoolCheck as well and almost every kitchen breads something. Using the standard breading procedure of flour, egg, and crumbs, really, we learn this in skills 101. It’s normally in 4 pans on a table and you try to do it as fast as you can or maybe it’s in an ice bath that frankly turns into a giant mess, so what better way to hold these ingredients safe than use the CoolCheck pans? A large one for your protein, and 3 smaller ones for flour, egg, and crumb. Now not only as a manager I can see easily that everything is safe temperature because the pans are blue, but, after breading, put these ingredients in a cooler to be reused. Remember, the ingredients were held safe the whole time. No need to throw those breading ingredients out. Not only being safe, but also profitable. Like I mentioned earlier, CoolCheck has been a leader in the industry and chefs and top kitchens are helping us bring this valuable tool to a whole new level. If you bread and batter anything, CoolCheck should be your go-to tool.

CoolCheck’s color changing technology is the perfect solution for delivering cold foods and drinks to your customers. Simply freeze a white CoolCheck pan overnight and, magically, it turns blue. It’s ready to hold your products for 6 – 8 hours at ServSafe temperatures. Now, what’s most amazing about this technology is that it tells your employees when the food or drinks are no longer being held safe. So, when that pan turns back to white, it’s no longer at that safe temperature and it’s time to replace it with another blue CoolCheck. Now, what I love about CoolCheck is that it eliminates those heavy, inconvenient ice baths that not only look bad but can never really hold temperatures. And, even more importantly, with the color change it helps me quickly recognize when temperatures are reaching that danger zone. In my applications I found myself using CoolCheck in a variety of situations such as holding my beverages cold for catering or front of the house service, for creamers at my coffee station, or the ever important eggs at the omelet station, as well as other areas such as the salad bar, ice cream station, or even my prep on my hot cooking line. So please, ask your local Carlisle or Dinex sales rep for more information on this cool new food pan.

more matter ice high Coolest capacity buying big best baths
These are the best, I reccomend getting the high capacity ones as they aren't nearly as big as a regular 1/6 pan. It does t even matter that these are expensive they replace ice baths and you can put them anywhere. Coolest item I've ever used will be buying more soon!
